May the precious memories live on of those who've passed on, and they never be forgotten. I have more Loretta Lynn tribute videos you should check out on my channel. See description below for detailed info.

This is a 1 hour tribute video in memory of Conway Twitty who passed away unexpectedly in 1993 at age 59, just a few months before his 60th birthday, and Loretta Lynn who passed away in 2022, and was blessed to see 90 years of life. I'm so thankful God made sure Loretta Lynn was at the same hospital with Doo the night they brought Conway Twitty in, after a show in Missouri. Somehow I think getting to be there and tell him bye gave her the strength to keep on going despite that unexpected heartbreak that happened that night with him passing away due to a stomach aneurysm that burst. Conway was her male best friend, her confidant, her professional soulmate, and yeah she admired him and loved him very much no doubt about that, through a 25 year friendship. Their stage chemistry was undeniable. I think it boils down to Conway & Loretta knew how to sing a song with emotion/feeling all the way down to their toes. They didn't care about the rumors; they just went right on making music & winning awards as a duo.
The history of Country Music wouldn't be the same without those "Conway & Loretta" duet years. I am proud of this tribute video and the hours it took to put it together, that spans from concert footage in London, 1970, where they co-headlined shows and discussed giving duets a try (off stage) as they would sing together... to 1991 "The Seasons of My Life" show footage. Since Conway would pass away 2 years later, I'm thankful for that show and the footage that's included on it. In addition to other song and interview footage, all 5 of their #1 hits are in this video, in order of their release: 1971s "After the Fire is Gone" and "Lead Me On", 1973 "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man" (Doo found them that huge hit), 1974 "As Soon as I Hang up the Phone", and 1975 "Feelins". It ends with them singing "Making Believe" + footage of Conway being inducted into the Hall of Fame.•Side note: I have footage of them, in this video, singing "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man in the 1970s ('73), 1980s ('85), and 1990s ('91).
The discography of Conway & Loretta consists of 10 studio albums, 7 compilation albums, 13 singles, & 2 charted B-sides. They charted 12 duet singles in the top ten of the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart, including 5 number one hits. Loretta & Conway both received the "Living Legend" award from Music City News' fan voted awards. It was given to an artist who's career had spanned 25+ years. Loretta was presented her award in 1986 by Barbara Mandrell. Conway was presented his award in 1988 by George Jones. (The previous year's winner would be ask to present the award.) These awards are called CMT Music Awards now and the award is given as "Artist of a Lifetime", in a similar manner, as picked by the network. They both were inducted into the Country Music Hall Fame: Loretta Lynn in 1988, Conway Twitty (after his death) in 1999. They both received ACMs Pioneer Award: Loretta Lynn 1995, Conway Twitty (after his death) 2008.

Loretta Lynn quotes:
"My first Grammy, it was for mine and Conway’s song. I dropped mine in the Los Angeles airport and broke it. Conway laughed at me, and about two minutes later, he dropped his and broke it. So don’t laugh at nobody.” 😂
“Everybody thought me & Conway had a thing going, and that’s the furthest from the truth. I loved Conway, as a friend, and my husband loved him. Conway was really the only one in the music business that Doo gave a doggone for.“🤦‍♀️😄

I'm glad they decided to duet together and never looked back. I hope you enjoy watching highlights of their career, as a "Dynamic Duo", in this video, as much as I enjoyed piecing it together. May their memories, music, & legacy live on.
