I was sold on this since I have been watching it at Costco for business. Still going strong since 2020 and I am very happy with this product.

This was a great Video, Done ✅ The only problem on your camera that it’s too dark looking at the Fence it’s because the light of the IR it’s shooting at the wall if you move the camera away from the wall you will resolve the issue

I like the light cause if they don't see the camera it turns in and they naturally look right at the camera and then run. Giving me a very detailed look of that face

Got to love technology. Night quality is amazing.

I have installed a few of these but the analog lorax version which has just as good quality versus the IP ones shown here. Analog is less expensive. Their cameras have a great field of view, much better than some of the cameras I have used before.

Really wanted to LOVE this system, but had to return it to Costco after a few days. Costco had the 8 camera package for $650. I had it for 3 days during which time I had to contact Lorex tech support each day for various problems. The last two times their response was just that I needed to do a factory reset to get it working again. Even if I backed up the system configuration to a usb stick, importing that configuration did not restore the settings completely. So after wasting many hours on trying to get this installed and working, back it went to Costco for a full refund.

Many setup videos are vague but you covered details very well (unboxing, cable-connections, configuration on TV, camera’s display output plus many small details in between). Awesome work, thanks for sharing👍. I am now a pleased subscriber to your channel. I hope you could share some details on how to run Ethernet cables in and out the house especially with a wood frame and stucco, any tips would be greatly appreciated🙏🏻

Great interview. One thing we were turned off by are the lights. Ring Floodlight Camera’s lights are way stronger

Can you do a playback on a camera before motion at night walking to it for motion , to catch motion and seeing the change on the picture? Can you show how well it pick up quality when the person is at distance?. Please do a playback rather than live.

I have a Lorex system to, but it is so sensitive that when a leaf falls or if it rain's or snow's it would record, just have to figure out how to adjust the sensitivity , great picture quality.

Wanted to also add, if possible get a cheaper 4 camera system and have it on an air gaped NVR or DVR. Basically those can be used to record inside of the home which is highly useful for situations of home invasions, as those act as great exculpatory evidence if faced with a situation where you have no choice but to defend yourself.

The Ring door bell camera’s have great reliable motion detection .....nothing can beat them ....but not very good video quality ........the wired Lorex 4K or other wired brands have stellar 4K and 1080p video quality .............all the wired systems have poor motion detection with high false alerts which becomes unreliable.........so I have both systems ....turn off the motion alerts on the wired system & have both of them working together..

Best for Canadian winters, never failed in 5 yrs

Great survelliance choice! I have this same set with 8 cameras. I've had it for about a month or so. I love the camera quality, the install was a pain but the 24/7 recording is worth it. I upgraded to the max which is a 10 tb HD which I believe will give me over 30 days of 24/7 recording. Have a couple complaints though, one being, the app could be better. Sometimes I'm unable to view all 8 cameras and have to reload some, this could be due to my data speed from my carrier at the time. Another issue/feature I wish it had was I get constant notifications of the same cats and birds which my cams believe is a person. Also Everytime I exit or enter my house I get notifications. I wish there was a way to remember animals/faces and just get notified of new people. That would make this amazing. Would love to hear your thoughts.

I wish someone would detail the frame rate of the cameras when you have 8 recording at 4K. Most of the companies are reluctant to publish frame rates.

Just subscribed. You appear to make GREAT videos : ) I'm hoping you come through with the installation video for the LOREX 4K 8-Channel. Real hesitant in running wires inside my walls & outside instillation would seem difficult for a regular person. Are you an electrician or computer super nerd ? You wizzed through the interaction with your wi-fi & smart phone. Which is cool, FOR YOU. What you did in about 2 minutes of video would take me 2 DAYS to understand & hook-up my devices. Don't get me wrong I LIKE THIS FIRST VIDEO of yours that I just watched.

This is great!. Just bought 3 sets, 1 for me and the rest for family. Best Buy has it on sale for $249. (4 camera- 2TB)

you have probably upgraded since then but for the camera on the side that is not as bright you can add a good long lasting solar light and you will be good to go

Nice review! I'm getting my system installed this weekend. Have you had any visibility issues when it rains? Considering they don't come with a hood and it looks like you didn't have them covered. I'm curious because I'm gonna have at least two cameras exposed.

The color night vision is confusing. It sounds great, but if you do not have ambient light like on the side of your house...color night vision is useless. You need a camera with both color night vision and IR night vision up to 250ft. This way you can see in total darkness.

Curious thing about the Lorex cameras, the little plate on the bottom has two screws and inside is a micro SD memory slot ! I can't find any information about it !

Thank you for an outstanding video.... couple questions of clarification I may have missed; are these cameras IR sensors 'NO GLOW?' Or, do they emit red led's that are visible to intruders when they are detecting motion at night ? Also... can you disable the 'led spotlights' on each camera if desired,.....? Thanks.

Costco has them for 649 now, I might bite, but the wiring for 8 cameras will be challenging.

Does the recorder have to stay ethernet cable-connected to the router? You had mentioned putting the recorder in an inconspicuous place. I'm wondering what kind of limitations that might create... Thanks!

With my LOREX 4K the night vision is about the same, maybe not as good as my old 1080p HD Honic camera. As with most CCTV cameras all will be in color at night with the aid of LED, flood lights etc.

How long are the standard Cat 6 camera cables supplied?

Nice video bro and I just got these I set them up I try putting 4K on my monitor to see the difference and the screen just went blank I unplugged it a lot of times just the Lorex logo pops up and after that nothing

Question. I currently have Vivint. I have 8 cameras, which is considered over the limit to their standards. I plan on keeping Vivint as far as an alarm system, garage opener, and door opener. I'm basically done with wifi. Mine are POE, however its still a wifi camera system. Does Lorex have a PTZ with auto-trac that can integrate with this system?

I'm looking into a system for an apartment. There has been new smartlock installed in the apartment community. Just last night the neighbor kid entered the 6 digit code and was able to unlock the door to enter into my apartment. My gosh! No one gave them the code.
