Can I just compliment you on the fact that when you put on your makeup you don't come out looking shades lighter than you actually are! I hate watching makeup videos where it seems like the person is trying to look white. We have such beautiful ranges of brown and I really love that you enhance yours rather than diluting it.

Right and especially if you have a decent facial bone structure and not tryin to recreate a nose shape, it’s unnecessary and overkill to do that intense hard contouring and I feel her on that! My day-to-day makeup I just contour with powder only too and just graze the brush on the sides of my nose cause really that’s all it takes 💯

The uniqueness of Lori Harvey taught me a little lesson about comparison. I'm not glorifying her but I'd have to admit she's unique and beautiful. There are indeed beautiful women everywhere and even if I don't know Lori Harvey personally it's something about her aura whether it's on social media and in this little clip she stands out overall. Sometimes we're aware or aren't aware of our uniqueness and we lose ourselves wishing we looked or shaped like someone else.

@@Bylettti You do not know who her biological dad is and it's not stated in her bio who her real dad is. She also looks biracial not like a light skinned black woman. And also even if her dad was black she would still be either biracial or multiracial due to the genetic makeup of her mom more than likely having less african dna. It all comes down to the percentages of the genetic makeup. Typically the average african american has to have at least 75% african dna her mom obviously wouldn't have that being shes mixed or multiracial. Her dad once again we don't know as it's not stated....

They tend to be heavy handed I mean The "Kardashians" aesthetics has definitely been very influential. It's the era of contouring, big eyelashes, 12333 steps to apply make up, long extensions and weaves. We're in the era of super glam. And I'm not saying it's bad either, it's simply a remark. The point is Lori is very minimalistic in comparison. Even her skincare routine is pretty simple.

Just like there is a a French aesthetic, a Nigerian or Korean aesthetic etc. It doesn't mean that everyone does it on a regular basis but there is a sort of standard depending on where you live there are customs. like I said you see it through local public figures, social media, what's considered as "the ideal " in national magazines, how local celebrities present themselves for big events, how regular women prepare themselves for big days such as weddings or a night out with friends. Women don't consume beauty products depending on if you're in Saudi Arabia or Sweden. That's a given we're not a monolithic group.
