These guys are borrowing heavily from a lot bands/albums made between 1994-1996 though...this is like Emperor's In The Nightside Eclipse and Purification Through Violence by Dying Fetus had a baby 😂 but whatever, good for you I guess. I feel out of the loop being in my mid 30s now but I really enjoy a lot of the music from the past five years or so.

Lorna Shore is the first deathcore band I've fallen in love with. I kinda love a blend of melody with straight up brutal metal, but some bands, awesome as they are though, didn't quite get this blend as much as I'd want to be. But, boy does Lorna Shore nail it! And as much as I loved CJ's voice... Will's voice is an absolute banger! And the symphonic choir...icing in the cake!
@thomasbuyse52622 жыл бұрын
There's only one band that does it as well imo and that's Shadow Of Intent, definitely on Reclaimer and Melancholy. You should check them out.

I'm not a fan of most deathcore but this is pretty killer stuff. I grew up with Through the Eyes of the Dead, From a Second Story Window, The Red Chord, Glass Casket, Animosity, Premonitions of War, early BTBAM type deathcore. Hated most of that upcoming era of deathcore though (early Job for a Cowboy breee breee type stuff). But this, this I can get behind. Everybody should check out the bands I listed for early/mid 2000's death core that paved the way for this fat slab of goodness, ESPECIALLY Animosity - Empires, one of my fav albums of all time.
@climbandslackline4872 жыл бұрын
I feel the same way. I've tried my hardest to get into this music for probably 10 years. None of it is good to me. Then I heard the Immortal song and was just blown out of my shoes. Immediately went and listened to the whole cd, loved every single song. Back tracked to their older albums with (I think) tom barber. Hated all of it. Then this EP comes out and again I am just completely blown away. Will is incredibly and I love his vocals just as much, if not more than CJs. Amazing EP

To The Hellfire (0:00) I'll hold onto feeling until my final breath escapes Gazing upon this world until it fades Fall with me into the other night We can go beyond the horizon again Fall with me until we're out of time Let the current swallow These whispers keep clawing Your mind is dissolving light Sink while you bathe in hallucination Accept this descent into the night, releasing your grasp to Induce separation, plunged into the shadows Lost in sensation, we're free-falling down into the ever black Can you feel it?
