It is true to some extent, y’all clearly have never heard of layered vocals, just about all his vocals are layered and they will play the other layer in the background because he can’t scream twice at once edit: It is him that you hear over the speakers, just the parts that sound even better than the verses, are because of layered vocals, and the breakdown is the best example of it, when he does his high in the breakdown it’s not layered vs his lows are, you can hear the difference

Thrown off a little bit by some mistakes, but then I realised the drummer might have had some problems with his monitors (with him pointing around during the song) so I'm guessing he couldn't hear the rest of the band. Nevertheless, they still did amazingly well to actually continue and finish the song, given its complexity and the synchronization they needed. This already sounds amazing to me, I can't imagine a live performance without any technical difficulties.. Super excited for that!

dude also has sciatica and has been struggling to move
@BrianBegnoche3 жыл бұрын
Sounds to me like a different issue and not that he made any mistakes. I think what we're hearing is fills at the end of phrases where unfortunately the recording doesn't pick up the toms at all or even the snare really. So you just hear the kick triggers in those fills that sound like a blip of notes in a silent break. Aside form that it sounds pretty flawless to me.

I think he uses in ears but not sure if that's just for videos or live as well. If he did play without monitors (after he starts pointing around the stage) then damn he knows his songs cause I didnt hear him really come out of time so that's actually really sick haha

I was there. Unfortunately the sound in the theater was itself pretty terrible. The Webster has always been hit or miss with sound and it sucks that they were a miss for this show. It was all pretty muddy.
@Seannn4123 жыл бұрын
I wasn't there so I'm not sure of the sound/ mixing situation but if I had to guess the venue has their own in house audio guy. If that's the case, more often than not, these guys unfortunately have little to no idea how to properly mix heavy metal/ deathcore and it comes out sounding like this. Thankfully LS is super tight and can make it work.
@kamjz3 жыл бұрын
@@Seannn412 Lorna has their own touring engineer. The Webster is just a very tricky room to mix. The house engineer mixed for the opening bands and was more familiar with the room as he's the house guy there more often and knows what to do. The LS engineer was probably just a bit rusty on top of being in a notoriously difficult room.
