This song never fails to instill a primal fear in me and I love it so much. Not knowing the lyrics, I've always imagined the song depicting a warlord - an enemy so unwaveringly determined and hellbent on eradicating your entire species that he will die billions of times over for his cause. The kind who would clone himself or become immortal to personally tear your throat out, even if it meant he had to die billions of times over. The kind who would deceive a greater power if it meant he could achieve his goal. The kind that has no other emotion than animalistic hatred. The kind that will launch a million-year onslaught on your world, sacrificing thousands of armies, only stopping when he is the last remaining thing in the universe. This song somehow manages to convey the absolute abject cosmic horror that is universe-conquering determination. Thank you Lorna Shore, for making me feel fear with music. I love metal so much.
