It’s so funny to see Lorne not completely self assured. Also his voice is so much higher, while Dave’s is pretty much the same all these decades later. Would be interesting to see them watch this tape together. Edit: as the interview goes on, Lorne’s voice lowers just a bit. I think he really was a little nervous at this point. He doesn’t seem to get nervous now.

If you made a drinking game out of every time he said "uh" you could kill a whole room with alcohol poisoning lol

if youve heard all of the comedians that are/have been on Saturday Night Live do a Lorne Michaels impression, they will use that mannerism as well.

Heart Pomeranz was his partner on the CBC show he started on TV with. It was all about hockey and classic archetypal Canadiana humor. I knew Lorne for a few years personally.

Dave and Lorne got into a major fight in the press after Norm MacDonald was fired from SNL. Dave blamed Lorne for the firing, calling him "Lorne 'Table at Orso's' Michaels." Lorne struck back by claiming that Letterman never fought for Bonnie Hunt when CBS cancelled her shows that Dave produced.
