Thank u for posting love to listen to this song as i walk the beach alone in the night. Not only thinking of the future but of the past and present as well. looked up the meaning of that line: it's referring to mini golf instead of what we might think of when we first hear "golf," and from what i know mini golf courses can be pretty wild and over-the-top sometimes. this juxtaposition was chosen to emphasize her feeling of isolation; everyone else around her is having so much fun in the brightly colored mini golf course. hope i helped! ^^

Great explanation and thanks. I'd just like to add that "mini" golf was and maybe still is literally called crazy golf in England. They are actually pretty over the top and a little creepy imo. Not my idea of fun though.
