David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas of Los Lobos & La Marisoul join Los Cenzontles to pay homage to Manuel Gonzales, Big Manny, of The Blazers. Somebody Please was originally recorded by The Vanguards in 1969 and embraced by Chicanos in East LA.
Artists and production: David Hidalgo, lead vocals and electric guitars; Cesar Rosas, lead vocals; La Marisoul, vocals; Fabiola Trujillo, background vocals; Lucina Rodriguez, background vocals; Eugene Rodriguez, vihuela, guitarra de golpe, and classical guitar; Pablo Aslan, bass; Carlos Caro, percussion.
This recording was produced by David Hidalgo and Eugene Rodriguez. Recorded by David Luke, Alberto Lopez, and Mike Toolines. Edited by Adrian Buono. Mixed by Greg Morgenstein. Mastered by Ken Lee. This has to be the best tribute that could ever be made for Big Manny. Everyone in this video is just excellent. David Hidalgo blows you away with his guitar playing! Everyone singing are all beyond excellent. Thank you to each and every musician.

David Hidalgo just makes everything better. Lots of love for Cesar Rosas and La Marisoul, too. I've seen all of these acts live- what a treat to see them all in one place. I'll be listening to this one on repeat all day. Somebody, please... Los Cenzontles scored big with this one!

Beautiful! One of my favorite memories as a roadie is a mariachi night out in Mexico City with the Lobos' crew. Always loved Los Lobos and all they've done for the Chicanos.

I remember hearing Dave hildago at the Gigi Hall in Lincoln heights my brother's band Black Moon hired for a quinceanera I'm so proud of Dave hildago he's come a long way back in the day from play heavy music like the band cream Dave hidalgo's down was called boojum snark
