You know Selena’s brother could only do his sister justice. Abe is the lead of the Kumbia Kings and he is Selena’s brother. He wrote the song with his sister. Love the recommendations.

Wrong. He played his partners and the a d split because of him. They started 2 new bands because Cruz Martinez the original creator of the band and composer for the group and Quitanilla the co-founder were in battle for the name. A few years ago it was official cruz Martinez hot the keep the group and is making a come back hopefully this year they finally make a tour in the states and release a new album.

Cruz Martínez registered the name of the group in Mexico and can only use it there. A.B registered it here in the United States, For that reason Cruz Martinez cannot do concerns with the group here in the USA. So A.B decided not to use the name of Kumbia King to make the groups that already had.

Actually Kumbia Kings would be considered Tex-Mex, not from Mexico. Just FYI. That's why you see the american-pop/rock/funk musical influence. A.B. Quintanilla is the bands leader, hence his introduction.

AB is not only Selena's older brother but was in the band with her as part of Selena y Los Dinos. This song was part of their repertoire. He remixed it when he started him own band, Los Kumbia Kings, after she passed away.
