The Sellouts. Farm worker theater. Teatro Campesino. This was filmed in KNBC studios, Burbank, California, 1972. . Sorry guys the last 3-4 minutes are cut off.

Mr. Valdez was ahead of his time. As a young women in the early 60's I would have been richly rewarded in my own skin. Thank you.

In 197-1978 I was a student at UC Santa Cruz, was in a Teatro. We did this play. I played Honest Sancho. They cut out a large portion of it; I have no idea why. Chicanos were just trying to fit in, like most other ethnic groups. Me and my Chicano friends would walk around campus acting and talking like pachucos, for the hell of it. Good times.

I'm playing Honest Sancho now, as well. Watching this, I see the version we got had a lot of characters cut from it.

I think Eric is played by Enrique Castillo who played El Mero Mero in Blood in Blood out. And the low rider is played by Daniel Valdez from La Bamba.

No, Daniel Valdez was main character in Zoot Suit…(he was a minor character in La Bamba)
