Day 3 of sardine challenge and morning blood sugar went from 110 to 81! I'm beyond excited! Ketones went from .8 to 2.0! I felt a wonderful amount of energy yesterday that I have been desperately searching for for a long time.

I was so scared to eat sardines. ate my first cold can yesterday.. Season brand is pretty good. today I put them in the airfryer with Tabasco (skinless) and its actually tasty 😅

Hello, I did it for 4 days and I've got a big sleeping issue. My brain was always awake and slept only one hour per night ! It was really surprising

Don’t eat them too late in the day! They give me a lot of energy and your ketones are probably high too!

I was in last Summer’s Group with Lisa. I did the Sardine challenge 2.5 days the first week, then it dropped from there. This year I just finished my first full day on Sardine Challenge. My ketones went from 0.4 to 1.9 and blood glucose started at 6.1 (111) and went down to 3.8 (68) Sardines are magical 🐟

That's it! Count me in, ladies. I've gained so much insight while listening today. What clarity and common sense shared throughout your interview/session. I am really tired of a stubborn weight stall for waaay too long, aches, pains, high blood glucose, low ketones. Sardines, here I come 😊

I discovered that the difference between man and woman on carnivore is big. Not all of course but according to my personal research reading 1000 of comments it seems that man can focused on fasting and one food group. Women have much more troubles with their PMS, hormones, a lot of woman (me also) Hashimoto and histamine issues, kids for who you have to prepare various foods, more stress that we can not that easily get away like men (like overthinking and putting our bodies into stress), handelnd emotional eating… and so much more I started the challenge yesterday just out of curiosity anfing did switch my PMS binge eating from the day before. I can not explain why because it is really filling and the video where you said it’s like medicine really helped

So. . . I have only done the Sardine challenge 1 day so far and down 2.8 lbs. I’m doing it for an experiment with coffee & cream this time. Last time I did no coffee and loss only 2 lbs in 3 day challenge which to me wasn’t worth it. It’s hard to believe this time I also slept like a baby with coffee. Some of our bodies don’t make any sense so we have to experiment. Wild Planet from Costco. I fried in pan with grass fed butter until crispy and seasoned with (Kelly Hogan’s favorite seasoning) Smoked Paprika & Onion Seasoning and it was great. This is the only way I can eat them without gagging. So if you have a problem with Sardines you may want to try it. 🙂

I enjoyed this. While I'm not much for challenges, I like the idea of eating something other than ruminant meat for the nutrition they have that ruminant meat doesn't. Whatever other benefits may accrue in terms of improving metabolic health, losing weight, breaking addictive patterns, etc. would be a bonus. Best wishes to you all.

Has anyone else noticed that women struggle more than men with sticking to mono eating, like just eating one thing each day? Examples are the lion diet and the sardine challenge.

I’m starting day 4 and down 5 lbs!! My fave “sardine salad” is 2 cans, Tb mayo, Tb sugar free bbq (I know ingredients suck but it’s a Tb), green onions!

This is a great challenge! I shied away for it from a bit trying to do the traditional triple b&e that Dr Berry promotes, but it hasn't been working for me well, I keep going down a slippery slope. This seems like it definitely will keep me accountable give me all the nutrients I need, and I'll see you that much needed loss of inflammation, water retention, then so I can start losing this hundred pounds I need to shed!🙏🏽💜😍

I’m doing this. Day 1 today… Still doing my buttered coffee in the am on Jiu Jitsu days, but might switch to having a can of kippers instead… Also, what about other tinned fish like oysters, cod livers, trout, etc?

181/24=7.5 days in. Just got my newest MoJo going again changed the batteries. I too worry about the protein but I can do it 10 days. Plan on eating chicken livers and ribeyes when I reach day 10. 2.2 ketone this evening. I did the butter and sardines in water on the grill. Tasty

Help me understand why the Lion diet was bad for your thyroid and yet you expect the sardine fast to not harm your thyroid function.

You have to do what works for you. In the online space today lion diet is good, tomorrow not so much . Sardine fast today is an eating disorder, but not tomorrow😂.

The lion diet definitely wasn’t bad for my thyroid. My thyroid has been struggling for a few years. I was hoping I could heal it by carnivoring harder and harder and harder. (As some influencers share their stories that it was the ticket for them.) Unfortunately, for me, carnivoring harder won’t heal the root of the issue (which for me is CIRS). The inflammation still came. The lion diet cleared the path that food can make me have periods of feeling better but it isn’t going to be my cure (I need to keep working the shoemaker protocol). After my sardine challenge, I will definitely eat primarily lion diet because it really did reduce symptoms. The reason sardines are different is because they are HEAVY in selenium and rich omegas reduce inflammation. Will sardines cure me? No. Just like Lion didn’t cure me. But there’s a nutrient based reason that they make me feel better while I keep working the shoemaker protocol.

@@janetw7828the shoemaker protocol is a protocol for people who are chronically inflamed. It requires people to clean up more than their food (when you’re chronically inflamed, you are now sensitive to toxins that don’t bother other people as much). The number one thing is making sure the places you spend the most time, don’t have water damage or are off gassing (like new buildings do with all the glues and paints and foams etc). Then you do a strong detox (as inflamed people have difficulty detoxing). Then work on sub infections that occurred because the body was so off (healing gut issues, lymes, long haulers etc). Then repair the brain (with a medicine). Many of us have spent years and so much money trying to heal our gut and sub infections with no success. And it’s because until you detox properly and clean up your environment, the infections will keep coming back. 😢

To be clear.. sardines are ALL “wild caught”. If you’re getting fillets or mackerel, tuna, salmon etc you have to check the can, but sardines are basically minnows in a can…😅
