Back in the 90s I was in boot camp and we had a Canadian citizen of native Canadian heritage in our platoon. Dude was solid. The US Marines DGAF where you come from "as long as you pack the gear to serve our beloved Corps."

I don't know if you are done with training and over there yet, you will be. You must know this. My son is a Combat Veteran of Iraq. I wish you God Speed, I pray for your family, especially your mother, it's not easy for us back home. In fact my memories kind of left a small PTSD, but my son, he lives with worse memories. God bless you soldier/Warrior. Do good.

son was 1 year oldf when got back. 1977. was born march 21 1976. could have been there in 75 a while hard since i was in va hosiptal 5 months after jan feb jan paris peace accords. was in during cold war. recieved national defence medal.

usmc went back to va hosiptal 1976 spent year there was in there last five months while in service. go to va now. became a marine 1972. was a outpatient serval times. proud to have served. retired 1973. still retired. 1993.

Every adult male in my family is an ex soldier, a war veteran...some of them died or got hurt in war. I never met some of them because they were KIA. My uncle has PTSD from war. My grandpa died in war. A lot of them got badly hurt in war. I will fight for my country and through life, just like they did before me.

I was in in 1974-1978. One of the last Marines in Saigon. Moved on to be a PMI at Parris Island. This, for an 18 year old kid, is an adrenial rush. When you get to the rifle range- experts all. Have a great time, this is a family.

What are you doing to serve? I'm done with most people. I stay in my bubble, i.e., home. I have served these people in various ways to include meals. Like Eminem, I'm so over people. They're not leaders.
