Losi DBXL first start

In this video I am putting the first tank of fuel in it and giving it the first start up. Showing just how easy it should be to run a gas rc car. Have to say started right up with no effort and idled great. Should have video up tomorrow of it running it outside and giving it a rip.

Very nice model...I pick one up tomorrow from my local hobby shop, ordered the magna flow buggy at the beginning of the week. Will be looking forward to see more vids from you on it....

Thanks. It is always with me in my truck. Never know when you get a chance to rip it. " lunch break at work" LOL. More will be coming plus speed build with a dbxl-e 2.0

@@lnskustoms6795 lol... I do the same thing with the fireteam or a Max always have something with me but I think you're right I will have the dbxl with me now....

Klotz Benol smells soooo, good. I run that in all of my two stroke lawn equipment.

Best to run this engine at 25:1 ie:40ml oil to litre gas

Nice first start. Very smooth. I have a question i did a 24 to 1 fuel mixture on mine for break in on 1 gallon of fuel only. Should i keep that going till can is empty or how much fuel should i add in there to make it into 32:1 ratio if you happen to know. I also subscribed to your channel and look forward to your videos.

Thank you. And from my experience I would run that out so you can get as much run time on it. As you break it in it will start running better and will be easier to keep the tune correct also helps for plug life. My first 2 stroke was a fuelie 30.5 and was all over the place trying different mixtures and found myself always messing with the high and low needles. As it broke in it changed how it would run especially at wide open throttle. Hope this was helpful. And thanks again.

Does it have enough power to upgrade the pinion gear to get 40-45mph? I’ve got 40 fairly flat acres I’d like to run it on.

I’m torn between this and the Kraton 8S.

@@nstewart636 to be honest I have both and the kraton 8s is a great platform. I have built my k8 into a 12s rig but haven't ran it and have it up forsale. I have 5 of the losi dbxle they too are a great car. Going to be build a speed run car with one soon and doing videos again of them.

Mine is definitely broken in and I would say yes as it has only been getting better as it is stock

@@lnskustoms6795 so I’m assuming that means you prefer the Dbxl over the Kraton? I’m not looking electric to electric. I’m looking at the gas Dbxl. They should really do the Kraton in gas. That body is probably my favorite looking one out.

@@nstewart636 I agree the body is cool and it would b interesting to see a k8 in gas. I was talking about the gas version dbxl I have the new one of it.
