Taking the Lasernut and the Ryft out for a run. Have not had these on the channel for a bit. The Lasernut has been fine and fun but the Ryft not so much. Its been down for a bit. I explain why in the video. Enjoy!

You really stuck it to the Lasernut. It went through those tree branches without any damage. Very nice buggy. 👍🏆

Good video 👍 Just by reading your description I agree right away about both especially against the Ryft. I had the Axial Bomber 2.0 before it looks fantastic but that's about it, it was slow and handles poorly. Then I saw the Lasernut and fell in love right away and sold my Bomber 2.0. The Lasernut is just the type of buggy I wanted (just watch my videos as well) I love the looks and the handling, the smooth ride I love it. I'll make some upgrades for it later on but it's still great for now. The guy at Exocaged RC channel all made reviews and modifications on the Bomber, Ryft and Lasernut but I didn't care much for the Ryft and Bomber they're not the type of trucks I like but the Bomber could be a good crawler companion with my TRX-4 Defender.

Great video! The ryft is fun when it works. Have broken so many parts, don't know how many times I didn't even get 30sec before something broke. The swaybar helps with handling along with suspension limiting straps to lower the cg. Built a ryft into a crawler with portals, nothing broken at all with it. Running 4s however can't keeps the links together Axial definitely dropped the ball with the ryft. Could have been a fantastic rig. Really like the look of the lazernut, might need to pick one up. Good to hear you haven't any serious issues with.

Sorry to hear you’ve had a bad experience with yours, I have a kit one but I love it. Replace all angles rod ends with straight. I’ve not had any major breaks after locking diffs with epoxy. and I’m running 4s with a castle 2400kv 1415 motor mamba x esc so she ain’t no slouch either 😜. I love mine it’s insane :)

You can really see the difference in pedigree of these two. One is from a long line of racing and research and the other..........isnt. And it shows, I mean it really shows

I really like the Ryft alot, but it tips over to much. The Lasernut seems to be way more stable. Thanks for the comparison.

Yes, for zooming around on a flat dirt field the Lasernut is a better choice. But virtually any Arrma would have been an even better choice.
@therchotspot

Its a comparison between these two RCs. Not sure why you put Arrma in the mix as they dont have a rock racer or a rock bouncer like these two are. I have done plenty of Arrma videos. They are great, they have problems like any rc does. I have had less problems with my lasernut than most of the Arrmas I own.

@@therchotspot As I said, if you're just zooming around in a field, the Lasernut is going to do better than the Ryft-- but should you say for instance, try to drive up a rock, the Ryft is going to eat the Lasernut for lunch. For zooming around in a field-- and for full clarity, I'm all for using your toy cars in whatever way you see fit-- ANY rig can be a good time, just some are better at it than others. The Ryft-- high CG, long travel suspension, spools-- is not gonna hoon around at the same level as a Lasernut with it's wide-open gear diffs and flat belly. I mentioned Arrma because A Typhon 6S is filled with every bit as many grins as a Lasernut, but will take 6S, jump a whole lot better, and cost you less.

Agreed, and I know that already. But I did this video to show how it is for me and style. Unfortunately I found that out the hard way when I was convinced to buy the Ryft over the Lasernut, and then ended up getting the Lasernut anyway. The Ryft is good for for taking on the Rocks and what not but if thats not what you do, like me, this aint the RC for you. Thats why I say in the video me the Ryft dont get along lol

@@therchotspot Oh, I get where you're coming from 100%-- because I'm the mirror opposite. I can't for the life of me understand the point of the Lasernut, while I absolutely love my Ryft-- which was a kit and not the RTR, which I think might have something to do with it. I keep plugging at the Lasernut, trying to make it... more fun, I guess?

That Lasernut looks awesome on 4s! What diff fluids are you running front/center/rear in the Lasernut?

At the time of this video I was still running stock fluid. The Lasernut is on my workbench now for maintenance but Im still thinking about what I want in it. Depends on if I change the motor out of it

I was looking at getting either the ryft or the lasernut. Thats what brought me here. I live in the mountains and want to play on the rocks hills and sometimes mud. You think the lasernut would be better than the rift? I have an maxx and typhon those are not what i am looking for to play in the hills.

I love the Lasernut. To me, you can have fun with the Ryft, but they dropped the ball on certain things. It takes a lot of extra $ to make sure its reliable. The Lasernut I have not had to do much to it and I play with mine all the time. Thats just my experience though.

Ryft is not built for this you want to go fast in a feild put smaller tires on but put a sensored system in it and hit big hilld

You are entiled to your opinion but look on youtube what the trucks like the ryfts is build for its not flat feild.

I have videos with this bouncing on rocks, off sticks, uphills. I know what its for. I just did not have a good experience with it anywhere doing anything with it. Ive seen plenty of people have a great time with it on flat field and rock bouncing. Its just not for me.
