LOSI Promoto MX 4S First Run Didn’t Go As Planned? Crashed,Modes wrong, To Much Power ?

So when I did the update on my dx5,I found out immediately that off road and wheelie mode are backwards. If you scroll down 1 screen you will c it say off road,street,and wheelie on the monitor screen.also,if you scroll down 1 more,that's your telemetry screen.go in there and you can set up all the telemetry. Motor and esc temp,rpm,mph,amp draw,battery voltage, all of it.other than the 2 modes being backwards, I like using my dx5 for the bike,for some reason,it feels more precise,plus the timer and telemetry is bonus.

Yes a few had said something about it I just tested on 3s and it was good idk how it switched again

@earlmoorhead5555 when I turn my radio on,it's set on off road first,the dx3 was always in the mode that you used last,and yes,I back flipped down the blacktop is when I figured that out! So I always check the mode first with the dx5.had to reprogram 8 models after that software update,but only my crawler was time consuming, all the rest are just 2 and 3 channel.

As a long time RC guy, I can sympathize with the wrong mode thing. It's easy to accidentally hit a switch, and in a lot of cases, the wrong mode screws the operator badly ( happened to me too many times ). That said, I would call it a successful test; 1/2 trigger is 70, there is room yet. Great job !!

Does anyone make an extended swing arm for this bike yet? That may help keep the front tire down. Or maybe a wheelie bar set up? Extended swing arm would look better in my opinion.👍🤙💯

Damn Earl 70 with an electric brushless rc motorcycle holy shit !. My fastest rc car on four wheels was my Traxxas E-Revo mamba monster MXL-6S on 6S lipo 80.7 mph. For a dirt bike that’s been converted to an onroad setup isn’t bad at all !.

U can get steel gears from GPM .. the slipper clutch can either protect the plastic gears by slipping or simply tighten it way up and it will never slip

Not the knew jersey ….. at least it was just cosmetic damage ( which still sucks ) could of been worse those were pretty nasty crashes. Seems like it has plenty of power now it’s just a matter of it staying planted. I’m definitely impressed with what you’ve done with it so far

Your asking alot out out of a rc, that was capable of about 42mph. I'm sure the trans, pinion, drive train will take the 4s juice, if you pay attention to the slipper, and punch setting. In my opinion, put the supertune to tire/wheel balancing. Lower the front forks, heavy oil. (need to lower, reduce travel, and slow the reduced travel way down. Same with the rear monoshock. Lower the shock with a limiter inside, and limit the travel on the outside. Of course it won't be much good anywhere but the tarmac. Mine is set up for tarmac only too... sorry for the rant, but your data info is good. Thank you.

Like I said earlier there is a software glitch with the dx5 when it says wheelie mode its actually dirt so dirt mode is actually wheelie mode its backwards go down one screen it says what mode its in lol as soon s I hit enter you put it on the screen so you understand it now

Hey on my smart ESC 150 I'm getting a green blinking light & ticking sound. Any thoughts... I did find a little rock down in where the wire goes into the ESC for the fan 🤔 & it will not go through the start up procedure the fan comes on but no throttle just steering

Un-plug fan see if it works if not rebind set end points during rebinding could be a shorted fan or lost binding end points also make sure throttle trim is zeroed out before turning radio and esc on

Here the video but rebinding is different on your esc you need to bind and calibrate esc and end points there’s many video on doing this as you have avc you need to bind calibrating all at once to complete it correctly
