Great build man. I went with a single AGFRC 125kg steering servo instead of running two. I've heard it can be a pain getting two synced up

Yes, it does look exactly like Savox and has the same dimensions but specs for torque and speed are slightly better than Savox.

love the look of that carb 👍🏻
@modularrc64283 жыл бұрын
The carb is a Gizmo 1048 big bore full mod carb. No primer bulb, no return line, and no choke, just an all around great performing carb. Once dialed in, it’s a beast on 32cc and up engines.

Thanks a lot for watching and commenting! I’m happy with how the build turned out especially the body shell. It was my first ever paint job, I normally just use a wrap. Your TLR buggy build inspired me to start my build. Keep up the great work!

@@modularrc6428 oh wow! That’s nice to hear! Thank you! I’m about to start my second one! By the way, be careful with how much heat that body traps.
@modularrc64283 жыл бұрын
@@rcOhio Yeah, I’ve heard about the potential overheating problem. I don’t think I’m going to cut up this body because I’m happy with how it turned out, so I might just buy a second body shell maybe grafil and that will be the body shell I bash with and open up air slots. I total would build a second TLR buggy, for the price it’s a good value especially if you have spare servos, receiver/transmitter, and a engine laying around.

I love your build, in fact you inspired me to do one myself. I just received all of my parts and I'm getting ready to start. I bought the Gizmo big bore carb, how easy is it to start without a choke or primer bulb. Anything I need to know? Thanks
@modularrc64282 жыл бұрын
That’s Awesome Bro! You’re going to enjoy the build. The TLR 5ive-B was one of my favorite builds from start to finish. The Gizmo1048 big bore modified Carb is a true race carb. No primer, no fuel return, and no choke lever. You will need to manually prime/choke the carburetor each first start after sitting for a while. My routine is to take off the filter and cover the velocity stack with your hand and pull the pullstart slowly three or four times. You will see fuel being pulled through to carb in the fuel supply line and suddenly you will get a pop as if you had a choke. Now it’s ready to fire up. Tune the carb in very small increments, a slight turn on the L & H needles will instantly give you results. Can’t wait to follow your build and see it ripping. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

Where did you get the JX servos? How have they been?
@modularrc64282 жыл бұрын
I purchased them on Amazon. They are good reliable servos and less than half the price of some of the more popular brands. I have them on several rigs for a couple of years with no failures so far. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Did you had problem with linning up the two servos for steering? How did you solve that problem?
@modularrc64283 жыл бұрын
Yes, I did have a problem adjusting the dual steering servo setup. You have use the steering mix setting that most 4 or 5 channels transmitters have. This allows you to adjust each servo individually so you can get both servo horns at 90 degrees or straight up, then adjust the steering links to desired length. Also, if you’re using dual high voltage steering servos, you’ll want to use a direct power source to power the servos directly from the battery so you won’t have voltage drop by sending the power through the receiver. This is the best way to setup a dual high voltage steering servo setup. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting!
