Now, imagine how many times in 30 years that cop lied on his report, lied to a judge, and ended up costing someone their freedom. Imagine being put in a cage because a cop like this gets angry because you say something to him, he beat you, and you get charged with assaulting an officer. Imagine you tell your story to anyone that will listen, but no one believes you. Imagine how many times that cop got promoted and got awards because he was such a good cop. Wow, imagine just being attacked and being beaten up by a cop with violence problems, and it's dangerous to charge him later -- after 30 years on the force, he has the prosecutors, police, and judges on his side -- no wonder the plaintiff decided not to testify against him -- the defendant can't say 3 words without a lie, and when the judges and police want to believe the lying ex-cop first, and the victim second, there's no justice left. I'm so glad Judge Marilyn gave him at least a bit of the justice the plaintiff deserved.

I wish I had a dollar for every cop like this abusive hog I’ve known personally in my life. Coming from an extremely abusive home, I was removed from my mother and custody was given to the state of Illinois. One of my many foster home experiences was with the chief of police, prior detective, in a suburb of Chicago. Not only did he molest me, but was abusive in other ways too. I began to run away and got familiar with many police officers. A small few seemed decent, but most were liars, cheaters, abusers and involved in serious criminal activity. I was forced to be an informant at age 15 which almost got me killed. And the cops that were suppose to protect me told me I should try and get out of the area-in other words, run away and live on the streets because they cared less about me or my safety. I think the only reason I wasn’t found floating in the Chicago River was because I was a kid and I did disappear from the area and no one felt I was a threat. Thank GOD, I never got involved in drugs/alcohol or became a criminal. I finally got my life together with the help of a few good people, and one whom I’ve been married to nearly 30 years now. I’m glad this guy got justice, because against a lying pig and their lying buddies, it’s rare you win.

Any cop who commits a crime after retirement should lose his pension that we all pay for. I can bet his wife was driving because he was a boozed up.

Another bad man that was a cop. They probably didn't have body cams when he was a cop. I'm sure it isn't the first guy he attacked.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it ... despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
