If this ever happens again, for a temporary fix, you can take your brake caliper and rotor off and stick something in between the brake pads of the caliper like a rock or something. Then you can fasten it somewhere up and out of the way. When the caliper closes on the rock it will allow you to use the other brakes as normal. Less than ideal and it’s a trail fix but it will get you through some sticky situations.

Good to know! We were trying to figure out how to do a trail repair and get it off but none of us have ever seen this happen on the trail

This one set the model for my latest vlogumentary on Jordan Lake as a birding spot. I almost went overboard on the history lesson but I reeled the birding and my footage back in lol. Please know that you sure have me paying attention to this channel more now. I really liked how you handled the video when the ending was out of your control. Great job!

FYI: Moving rocks problem was solved recently. Basically when it rains and the rock area floods, the thin film of water freezes, trapping the rocks. Wind blowing then gains enough friction on the huge surface area to move the ice sheet which is floating on a little water, and drags the rocks with it, which move in the slippery mud. The actual phenomena is super rare. This is why all the drag marks are the same, the rocks are locked into formation by the solid sheet of ice.

Great adventure! But man, So sorry to that your brakes broke. No doubt that was a bummer. But on the flip side, it’s very fortunate that it happened amongst good understanding company, and not alone. But like you said, stuff happened that’s out of our control…sometimes you have to just go on and make the most of a bad situation, s long as you’re safe and in good hands. I had a similar traveling situation where my trip got cut shorter and had to have my Jeep towed back home. But riding back with the tow guy was fun and just took my trip into another. But thank God my husband provides me with Triple A Premiere just in case I’m ever need it…and in this situation it really paid off. Anyway awesome adventures video! I really enjoyed it. 👍🏼

What a great journey that must have been. I hope in this lifetime to make a journey like this. We don’t have this in the netherlands. Only in the south a few Hills but thats it. And water … lots of water. 😜. Thanks for the great video.

Whoa! Out of all the potential problems that can happen on the trail the brakes falling apart wasn’t on my list. Tie rod, driveshaft, track bar, brake line sure, but that no.

This literally just happened to my Jeep. It's in the shop as we speak. At least mine went bad near home. Don't know what I would have done if it happened out on a Wilderness trail!

Why are National Parks no flight Zones? Wouldn't it be better to have flexible Flight Zones? E.g. It gets marked as a no flight Zone if there is Wildfire Season, in the Winter its ok. Its just sad, it feels like the restrictions about drones are extrem limited :(

Because its really annoying for visitors who aren't flying drones to hear them overhead constantly. Places like Death Valley it wouldn't be an issue because theres no one around but many of the really popular spots would be flooded with drones and it would be a big issue

I was driving on a really easy road when it happened. Not sure what caused it. Maybe a rock earlier? However, Jeep covered it under warranty so it was labeled as a defective part.
