I still get chills when Ilana says "I'll have you."

The school setting was a great reflection of the island. The Principal (Jacob) did things that Linus felt betrayed the school (The Island) and when Linus had to make a choice between saving the school (The Island) or saving his prized student (His Daughter), this time he chose the student (His Daughter). Because of some of the subtlety in the writing of this show, I honestly do not feel it got the full credit it deserved...and it got a LOT of credit in it's time.

Rana...I'm so glad you clapped after the scene with Ben and Ilana where he explained himself and his feelings....I've seen the whole LOST series 6 times and I have that scene in my top 10 if not top 5 scenes....it was poignant, revealing, and a turning point for Ben from selfishly evil to unselfish team player. Bravo !!! IMO, the best TV series ever....because as you mentioned, this is a family, and NOW YOU are part of the family. You laugh, cry, agonize and rejoice with them. That's what makes it grander than something like Breaking Bad which was very good, but LOST is your family, and after this, always will be with you as such....

I love how much they enjoyed Richard in this episode, especially with Ab Aeterno being next up, can't wait to see them finally get his backstory!! One of the better eps of the entire show.

Michael Emerson is always praised for this episode and rightly so but can we give Zuleikha Robinson / Ilana her due? Her "I'll have you" is one of my favourite LOST moments. She went from wanting to kill Ben to understanding and accepting him when most other characters would've told him to leave. Jacob used them both.

When IIana tells Ben. “I’ll have you.” was one of my favorite LOST moments. I like how his Flash Sideways paralleled to his Island Life but instead of power her chose to save his daughter Alex. He had a very tragic story but it was nice he kinda found a way to redeem himself. Also was a tender moment with his dad. He changed the tank to keep him alive.

The reunion scene jesus the feels !!!! Loved it. Ben is such an interesting character. This episode is so good ! Great Reaction guys.

That's how I've felt my whole life... Nobody wants me, I don't belong anywhere... Only the difference is I've never hurt anybody or did anything to deserve it... Even just watching videos like this makes me cry, because I see the relationship you (or people like you) have... Sitting on the same couch, being able to touch each other playfully, and hug, and even just to do stuff together... I've never had that, with anybody, in my entire life... I never really had a family, or a friend. I've never met someone who understands me, or even just wants me around. I haven't even been hugged in 5 years, and the only hugs I've ever had have been from strangers who I thought were friends, but who in every case never talked to me again... I don't even have anyone to talk to when I'm suicidal, people literally don't care what I feel. Seeing other people with friends, or families who love them, or belonging in a group... It's very hard for me to see, or even to think about. I'm already convinced I'll die without ever knowing how it feels to be loved. I won't even know what cuddling feels like, and that's all I ever really wanted in life. I never had a dream job, I never cared about money, I don't want a car, or a big house. I don't even care what country I live in. I just want to be with someone who loves me... Someone who wants to be with me too...

You guys are awesome. To see your faces at all the callbacks of the past seasons and the joy you get out of this is very sweet. From reunions to the old music scores and past locations. You can tell you really love this show and it brings me back to the old days when this show was all I ever could think about, warms my heart. You guys are true losties. Also big ups to Surj for the comment on Micheal Emerson's performance. That was some top class acting and thank you for noticing. He really is top notch.

After I permanently hated Linus, this episode became a turning point for me. I understand him more and don’t want him to die. This is one of the best episodes in Lost with so much complexity and emotions. The scene with Ilana and Ben is really a tearjerker!

Ben's Redemption begins in earnest, tears me up everytime, It is the First Time we see Ben, completely broken, now we get to see him become what he always could have been.

Never been a big fan of Jack. But sitting down with Richard, over the dynamite...awesome!! And Ben explaining everything to Ilana...the feels when he says "Because he's the only one who'll have me" AMAZING!!

Who knew Ben would become so sympathetic after S2 and S3. Jack and Richard never had many moments together, but Jack going full Locke with him was fun.

The Principal is Walter Peck in Ghostbusters and Dick Thornburg in Die Hard.

One of the better episodes of the show, and definitely one of the best of season 6. This is why the flash sideways works so damn well.

I love the flash sideways. It is there to help each character work out their issues, let go and move on. Each character can face and work out their biggest fears/issues in it. Jack has his fake son and gets to tell him that he is enough and that he has what it takes. The one thing that he never got from his own dad and that haunted him all his life. Ben has the chance of a do-over and chooses Alex over the allure of power (the decision real-island-Ben regrets most-sacrificing "his daughter") Kate finds Claire-and instead of running, what real Kate always did, she decided to stay and help Claire. Sawyer, who in real life became a Con-artist, chooses the law and becomes a cop. He was never a bad guy- he always had good in him. And in the flash sideways he makes the right decision and he gets to share his grief and anger about the man who murdered his parents with his cop-buddy miles. Locke has a great relationship with Helen in the flash-sideways and - most important - a good relationship with his dad. In real life John's life was ruined by this man and shaped the rest of his life so much. In the flash sideways he gets to experience a life with a loving father and a loving girlfriend (wife? Can't remember if they are married in the flash sideways). And thanks to meeting Jack he now has the possibility of getting his spine fixed and being able to walk again.

I wasn't really happy with the finale when it aired. I was 25, didn't HATE it but didn't love it. But man, with the benefit of hindsight and after seeing much more baffling finales over the last 10 years, Lost's really wasn't that bad.

I’m pretty sure I saw Jacob alive and kicking after he was stabbed by Ben..he didn’t really get killed until MIB kicked him into the fire..like I’m pretty sure he died from being burned alive not the knife stab..that’s just how I feel

Every time Ben tried to obtain something for himself over the good of the island something bad happens. He disrupted Godwin and Juliet's relationship by sending him to his death so Juliet who resembles his mother could be with him. He got sick. He goes to the survivors to avoid this and survivors die in order to free him. Others also die as he continues to convince Jack to save him. If Ben had been focused the survivors would have arrived on better terms and slowly work with them and have them understand the island before the freighter arrived. (But would Desmond have release keyed the hatch in that case?) He didn't surrender himself to Keamey He felt inferior and uneeded when Jacob curiously asks what about him? But this shows Ben must always be selfish for the time line could happen. He never could have sacrificed himself. Because his selfish actions put so many things in motion to happen. Its like Doctor Strange seeing the only possibility to win is give up the Time Gem. Sideways Ben Sacrifices himself so one student can get what she deserves to better her life and is still able to gain control at the school.
