4 new verticals, and a rng passive tree vertical through accessories? Geezzz, now we'll have 6 verticals to care about :( They just made verticals even more end game focused. They gave you and already free 5x3. But now they're shoving new books = gold, 120 wep tap= gold, rock additive bonus 4x+4x max 10/10 = gold, awakening tree = probably gold, gems = gold, honing on soft reset = gold. But we still have the elixir and trans problem, this might end the West. If we can't handle two verticals for min/max. How on earth do we coop with essentially a end game hardreset.

As a returning player i thought its a huge w, but then i thought about it and realized it doesn't do enough. Solo raids don't go high enough, i already did voldis, these solo raids don't do anything for me. There's still no way to prog with 8x dps party. Still no way to have cpu supports so you don't wait hours for thaemine. Still elixirs will be shit even with 50% nerf. Still too many vertical systems. Still too much burnout. Not saying the changes are bad, but they didn't address the whole gatekeeping and burn out after voldis. If you've never played good for you, now you have content all the way to voldis. If you're rmter it's good for you since you'll be maxed out the day t4 is out. But returning players like me don't get much. I wanna try thaemine, i already have 5x3 and gems, i need elixirs and supports, and gold. It doesn't help me get less gatekept in thaemine. Getting 35/40 set is still going to be cancer even with the nerfs.

I digress. I think this was an L on all fronts for NA/EU. These clowns are developing the game for multiple regions but they only cater to the KR base. They should have led the presentation with, hey guys, we hear you about problems X Y Z, here's what we're going to do to address them. Alright now that that's out of the way, here's all this new shit we want to show you. Now we have to wait until Monday to hear what these so-called vertical changes will be and I'm not holding my breath. These clowns make too many promises that they rarely keep.

Do you guys understand that core systems dont need to change? They are fine? Its a progressive game that doesnt drop gear. How would you get stronger if not with vertical systems? If its not fun to you then just quit but stop dooming in comments as if they will ever hand you endgame progression on a silver platter, the entire whining is getting rly tiring. This loa on moved stuff into a very good direction, and if you dont see it that way thats fine, go play final fantasy or some other shit but stop being these annoying whiny lil pussies that hate around in the comment section just because youre too lazy to grind or spend for your progression

Yeah exactly, they just removed guaranteed systems (gems, accessories, gear and its levels) and replaced them with rng (accessory rolling, gems effects) with keeping rng systems (elixirs and transcendence). I see no difference, even card sets were not fixed or that mentioned elixirs and transcendence, what is point nerf gold when you still got 0,55% chance for set bonus. It will take few months till RMT and lucky rng players will gatekeep rest again. This is maybe good for bored KR who were maxing their chars for twice longer than we did, but for us? I do not think so and I think it will ultimately hurt west, but time will tell.

@@m.m85434 mate, anything that makes whales and rmters have to spend more money on the game is good for the game. Let them do another esther weapon, it only does the community good. And I dont get where you take the rng from, they literally removed engravings from accessories which was long overdue, you get to make your builds and if the accessory honing is too much rng for you, you should t play the game in the first place, its literally the mildest form of rng ever, you guaranteed succeed and get some bonus - what you are honing for is the levels on ark passive which you always get, the bonus stat on top of it is rng. Fuck man, if you get 0.25% atk power or 0.25% mana regen, if you roll the mana regen you def need to quit, not competetive anymore now with any dps who rolled stk power…

I don't know how I should feel about season 3. I was grinding my ass off for 2 years to get a decent amount of lvl 10 gems and now I have to do it again for 2 years. It does not feel like a good motivation booster for me to keep playing the game atm. Sure they will become lvl 8 tier 4 gems, but it's still an insane amount of grind - you have to keep upgrading them because other people will and you need to keep up with them to avoid being gatekept. Many people are seriously considering quitting the game after this LOA ON and they many will. I would only consider this LOA ON to be successful if and only if the T4 along with solo mode would bring in A LOT of new players and make them stay because there'd be nobody to play with otherwise. 8 people on my discord already sold their gems/accounts and uninstalled the game just for reference - what kind of LSAVED is this? Not sure.

I get how you feel but personally I never want to be maxed out with my character in an MMO. If I have nothing to work for or like juiced to a point where I need like 500k gold spent for a 0.5% dmg upgrade, I wouldn’t have fun with the game. But maybe that’s just me.

@@MisoxShiru Again, like I said already, Miso, I'd consider those changes a step in the right direction if it would bring a lot of new/returning players to the game AND make the play long term to compensate for the amount of existing players who will quit the game because of those changes. What they did is very risky and too drastic imho. We need to see - maybe people like myself are overreacting but people are selling their accounts right now - that's not what you want to see after any LOA ON.

@@fgmxd4957 People are selling their accounts because they are overreacting... people are quick to judge (especially when they are prejudiced). From what i've seen so far, a lot of people didn't really understand what happend and on what this new season is based on.... You and your friends are pure example of it... they selling their gems because they are doomers and just simply look for a reason (even a dumb one) to just end this. You on the other hand are looking for this reason as well (but maybe more meaningful). Systems their introduced are mainly for new players but also current players will get something out of it eventually. You don't have to cut 9/7 anymore to be efficient and do decent damage (7/7 is enough). You have solo raids with less gold but with more mats (for new/returning players it's a game changer). People are just FOMO and that's true. I play this game since RU came out and now on EU., Never ever in my mind i had a feeling that i need to keep up with everyone because they won't let me in their groups or they gatekept me or whatever. I have been in many guilds (it's not hard to find one and it's not hard to find some really good folks that will help you) i do my own groups and i am taking people that have enough equipment to do the raid in my opinion (for example mixed 5/7 gems and LoS 18 or DD18/30 is enough for Akkan) but at the same time people are stuck on that stupid cycle when they have to do all raids on all 6 gold earners and they need to do it ASAP because they don't want to waste time... if you don't want to waste time then this game is probably not for you and you intentionally not looking for the easy solutions because you fear of being jailed and not getting the gold u wanted. It's not like you have to always pass through every gate. Every human is different and sometimes you won't be able to do certain thing. If you don't have static you should lay down this burden of yours and start looking for a different solutions or different game, it's that easy.

@@MisoxShiru Only ppl selling their accounts or all their gems are the ppl who, like OP is saying, are just upset they have to work again to get their chars to max level. But that's how mmos work. At some point your gear becomes obsolete and you have to work to get strong again. Anyone that is against that, from my pov, is either entitled or this is their first mmo.

First to correct something for gem conversion from tier 3 to tier 4 you are losing some dmg you go from 40% to 36%, but we can assume since lvl 8 is 36% the new 10 will go beyond 40%. Quality new max is 120 not 140 and they did say your current quality will transfer over. Overall from LOA ON I really wouldn't say Lost Ark is saved there's a crap ton of questions that weren't answer and major problems still not addressed. Elixir and transcendence changes are step in the right direction but not what NA/EU needed. Doubling the amount of elixirs doesn't change the fact trying to find set lines is absolutely terrible cause 0X12 still equals 0. Transcendence level 7 still being tied to Thaemine hard g3 when majority of the pug groups won't take you unless you already have level 7 transcendence. When you hit T4 and jump to 1640 you will be able to do Behemoth and get your weapon transcendence to lvl 7 but your armor still can't. How does advance honing work with T4 do we still get the +20 ilvls it gives? Do we have to keep using T3 mats in T4 to do advance honing? Is the cost of T4 more expensive than advance honing to justify advance honing still? Is advance honing just dead, if so there is zero reason for NA/EU players to bother honing until T4, because we know from RU roadmap that they get T4 with Behemoth. (EDIT) Apparently the director did say advance honing in T4 will cost T4 mats. They are letting us transfer our T3 stones to T4, but with how the engraving leveling system works do we have to cut a whole new stone anyways. if so why bother even letting us transfer the stone to begin with. T4 accessory gambling are all the lines some kind of dmg lines? If we have none damage lines how many are there and what are the odds of a damage line vs non damage line. I don't mean to say all this just to be a doomer and I think your positivity when it comes to this is really nice and necessary, but we have a lot of unanswered questions that we have to wait for Monday for AGS to see when we get stuff and later this month to see the dev notes KR gets to explain more of this stuff in detail.

Lost ark is properly the only MMO thats changes so much over time. Im glad they took the risks and it looks like they have chosen a better direction for the game. Cant wait for AGSs announcement on Monday 🎉

I’m pretty neutral about the LOAon, some big W’s, some big L’s: Main W’s IMHO: - Ark Passive; - Solo Raids; - Finally out of Akkan Gear; - Simplified coins, and other systems; Main L’s: - T4 doesn’t get rid of Elixir/Transcendence, plus 50% cost reduction doesn’t solve any of the issues with the system, lost opportunity; - Cards only a small change, in the form of LOS/KLC 24, plus more card sets, should’ve been deleted completely; - Have to interact with quality again, it’s an old system, should not been revived; - New stone cutting, based on new meta but stone cutting is the same cancer experience as before. Plus since more damage, another gatekeeping stat; - Roster 400, just another lvl. to gatekeep. Another thing I want to see, is with the gold nerfs to raids up to 1600, how to support main, plus how are new/returning players to get to 1620, if support ends at 1600, honing up to 1620 is costly and has to do Elixirs/Transcendence, so gold starvation plus long time to get all those extra systems done, otherwise they won’t be accepted to parties… In the end, they could’ve made a big L but as usual, they put monetization above all, so they decided to keep systems to just make ppl have to pay up not be be gatekept.

W LOAON. Def was not expecting half of this, but very welcome. Haven’t been this excited about the future of Lost ark in a while. Doomers will doom and that’s ok. Tier 4 should be coming to us by September, as we caught up with Russia and they get it in September. However, I think August is also possible for us. We will most likely know with AGS letter Monday!

I'm not sure we saw the same LOAON. All they did is rework old systems we were done with to fill them with more gold sink and RNG layers. The cherry on top is the soft reset of gems, this is just plain stupid and is going to wider the gap between whales and F2P massively. The nerf of Trans and Elixir is a joke, it's welcome sure but even if they lower the gold cost, it doesn't change the fact that you still have 1-2% to have a decent and usable elixir which IS the problem. I'm waiting for AGS to do their thing Monday but for now, I'm out of this farce of a game. They better branch off from SGS's greed which I don't expect, I'm not naive or full of copium. I wanted them to dial down the P2W of the game from 3000% to 2500%, never asked the game to actually be F2P and they actually dialed it up to 4000%, there is no way we can afford to F2P T4 as a western player.

Appoint me as head of Smilegate; Elixiers -> Animations can be skipped. Elixiers will have the first slot as a "selectable". Elixiers have a pity system, giving you an extra step for the next elixier until you hit a 5/5. Elixiers will cost less. 35 Set reduced to 30 so Epic Elixiers make some kind of sense. Bam , fixed....

yea, you prolly watch different loa on, what you miss is to get t4 you just need to hone at 1620 and basically you free to upgrade on t4, and gem reset is not the same with season 2 you can just transfer them all to t4 with 2 level downgrade, on top of everything they say, im sure they will plan to remove gold for t3 hone system. well, even if you actually understand all of it, its actually doesnt matter a lot to invested player already since their goal is to bring new player with those t4 soft reset and changes not to feed 3% player base.

We are going to need to start over from scratch : accessories (with more RNG tied to it and gold sink), gems lost 8/9 of their values, bracelets (with more RNG tied and gold sink aswell), stones (since they LITTERALY design the new system around making 9/7 subpar), new quality gear to spend gold on when we were done with it, new engraving books since now we'll need to max them ALL + getting new relic engravings we have no idea how much and how rare and much more systems, I could recap them and make a book... We are talking about millionS of gold of investement. Remember that'll need to bring EVERY character to 1620, you think that's easy ? Don't forget they announced a overall nerf to T3 gold income and that solo raid will also bring less gold than party play. Remember that'll you need to do it on all your 6 character knowing whales with just whale themselves out of this shithole and start gatekeeping you like crazy because you can't spend 70% the gold you used to make on the same content upgrading 56 new gold sink systems. The game is not saved. It's being bandaged. Playerbase will spike at patch update and will drop just as fast when they realize there's a new standard of gatekeeping. The cycle repeats.

I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the new player experience , all i'm seeing is its going to be HARDER for new players to play with current ones not easier. 1580 - 1620 is a HUGE HUGE gold sink, and solo raids will give less gold than normal, so what will happen to new players in that honing dead zone? Also lets assume you do get past the dead zone of honing what awaits you past 1620? no exisiting player will want to run volids HM with you when you still dont have the card sets, trans etc... Also almost all the existing players will move to T4 which will make find groups for that older content harder and even veterans who push their alts will only want to play other veterans. And what is your solution for when there is no express event to get you to 1600 and give you all the benefits of the event??? Overall in my opnion - BIG BIG L for new players, absolutely will not recommend, very shallow thinking on the part of the new direc...sorry i mean head bozo when it comes to new players expirience.

I think people are being too tunnel vision-ed. Solo raids are meant to alleviate your ALT homework pressures and emergency raid clearing if you're out of time. My alts are all 1610 and that makes me happy knowing that I can raid solo on my 3 gold earning chars without a worry. I don't even do raids on em now because of lack of time and unable to schedule with friends or just refuse to PF simulator. So just do em on alts and focus on your 1 char. All T3 chars will have event gems anyway so you're free on gem investment too. They become your gold machines for your exclusive 1x main without the stress of Party Finder. Use that to catapult your main without any gatekeep stress and you can progress your main vertically at your own pace. The only thing you need to worry henceforth is your main getting gatekept. But at least now, your efforts are all funneled rather simply onto ONE character. W in my opinion. And whoever thinks its a good idea to bring multiple chars into T4, you're on crack lol. Season 3 clearly shows this game will no longer be a game that will cater to multiple high lvl alts because that is unfeasible. They've addressed homework fatigue with 1x Chaos, and the already placed 1x GR. For Raids, if you aren't feeling it for the week, can be done solo and earn some gold for a fast x3 clear. People forget MMO is all about some form of vertical progression. That will never go away, or else there won't be anything to work towards. Gatekeeping will always be there. Bots will always be there. The only thing as a community we can do, is not give in to unethical standards, else, you become part of the problem. It's that simple but sadly, that's too idealistic.

Honestly not to take your bread. It’s content wise good for content creators. But the core issue will still stay the same. And they even multiplied the current core issue now. It is going to be a cycle that repeats with complaints, hyping it up, complaints, etc etc. Nonetheless for those that are happy for it good for ya and for those who will leave because of it no worries, this year is a good year for gaming. Lots of good games coming out

I don't think it's saved? Maybe in Korea it is, here in the west it's pretty doomed. Sure, those are some good changes, finally. It all depends how long we will wait to get these updates. Ironically enough, knowing what the game would be in a couple of months will make a lot of people drop out, because they want to play with the new updates. I honestly don't feel motivated to log in at all.

Honestly, take a break then. I started playing again after taking a break just after thaemine release, I'm only 1611 on my highest character, and these changes sound nice to me. Though, I plan on taking the game at a less hardcore stance than I did before and it's a lot healthier for me to be able to keep loving the game like I used to. Less gold I have to dump into building T3 characters accessory wise and such is very welcome to me. And when I eventually hit T4, sure you can min-max a lot with accessories, but I think I'll personally be less inclined to spend pheons and gold on those since they don't have the engravings chained to them like they currently do. I can live with not min-maxing. I accept people into groups who don't cause they're better skill-wise then a lot of whales I've played with that are 1630+ with full level 10's and a 5x3+2 who seem like they've never even touched the game. I actually go out of my way to avoid people who look like they're whales because of those experiences now. It's a game, I wanna have fun with it, not just bitch and moan about every little thing I don't have to keep up with the top top endgame anymore, I'm just able to chill and play at a more relaxed pace and it makes the game feel a lot better for me personally.

Elixirs and transcendence will still be painful to get. If you're not there D1 for a new raid, you will be gatekept. Ig i will wait 9 months until they add these raids for solo.

@@jlee9360 solo raids are good to have so ppl dont have to rely on partyfinding, pugs, gatekeeping, jailed, and whatnot. But it's only up to voldis, once those players hit t4 it's back to the usual problems.

Bandaid fixes but as a hardcore end game player I’m happy. I can see why some are still upset though but me personally, these changes make me want to play more.

I just got back from taking a 2 or so month break (quit playing about week 2 or 3 of thaemine releasing for the west) And these changes make me excited to pick it up again. And I'm starting to play more casually. Having some, albeit lower, gold income in the form of solo raids will be nice, especially since I usually didn't have the time or energy to sit and try to first of all fine people for 3 raids on 6 characters, but also then hope we don't get jailed in any of them. I personally don't feel the pressure to spend gold to min-max with the T4 accs right now, we'll see about those upgrades they can get. But, also not having to worry about having to build T3 characters is such a relief to me. Saves me gold, and pheons, on accessories for a class that I find fun, but know I won't really play as hard as my main one or two classes. Overall, I'm excited for how these changes sound, and hope it ends up good for the game.

You know what is wild to me? Before yesterday our endgame wouldve been to suffer through honing to 1640 for behemoth, and to still do thaemine hardmode. How the fuck are people pissed about them announcing a new tier with a soft reset, new raids, entire new class building system and all of that within the next few months?? Like the alternative wouldve been so much fucking worse, I dont get how people dont realize it. The game was bleeding players cause the content you honed for was in no relation to what it cost you. You woulda spent millions of gold to play a piece of filler content for KR that lets you transcend weapon.. how was thos EVER a better choice? 😂 people gotta pull out their heads from their asses and realize that this is the way better outcome. Its exciting

Why do they do this crap. Ok we are deducing chaos dungeon to 1 entry oer character. Butttt..... you get less rewards overall. Bro just cut the entries to half and double the rewards.

The only thing is worth hyping is solo raid and a free to 1640 T4, but the same gatekeeping will be the same at T4. Guess i will still quit after try out solo raid.

I have a real question, I really think LOA ON is cool, with a lot of good things, BUT, am I the only one who pissed off about not having any new classes for an entire year? Having watched a lot of the official discords, nobody talks about it, am I really the only one disappointed by this?

Yes, cause youre getting 26 new classes with how they just changed the game, literally the entire balancing system is overthrown, how the fuck would you release a new class on top of this. Makes 0 sense, they need to balance out third awakenings and 6x3 with ark passive system first. New class wouldve been the biggest nothing burger on top of all these changes, its goof they didnt announce one

@@Nonamed70 Where the hell do you find 26 new classes? The Ark Passiv is all about getting rid of elixir/transcendence and class engravings. We'll have to wait for the third Kazeros raid to see anything new in this system. But at least you've answered my question, people are happy because they didn't even understand what T4 was all about (which is still an excellent thing for the futur of LA). I just hope that someone more intelligent, who has at least looked at LOA ON, will answer my question.

I mean you had to know it was coming, yeah my 14 lvl 10 dmg and 12 cd not to mention countless 9s and 8s lost value but atleast they aren't worthless.
