BILL MCINTOSH
ADVENTURES WITH PURPOSE INVESTIGATOR AND TEAM MEMBER
RESILIENCE LLC SEARCH AND RECOVERY OWNER
This is the search by Bill McIntosh, a member and contributor to the Adventures with Purpose Team and Channel. Bill is the owner of Resilience LLC from Rhode Island and one piece of his organization is Search and Recovery missions. Follow Bill as he investigates the case of Alex Jackson who went missing in Maine on May 12 2023 at 4:35 pm when his phone last pinged near Turner and Monmouth Maine and then he was never heard from again nor has his Dodge 3500 and Farm Trailer ever been found.
In late June of 2023 Bill drove up to Maine to investigate the case of missing person Alex Jackson who went missing in the area of Leeds Maine but who lives in Windham, Maine. Bill traveled from Rhode Island 2 days before embarking on a 17000 mile journey to Australia to support Down-Under Dan with 5 missing person searches in the Sydney Australia area.
BACKGROUND:
Alex Jackson, a 4H farmer who lived in Windham with his parents, and who owned a family farm in Hiram ME. traveled to Leeds Maine to get help from a family friend with his truck and trailer. After his friend finished welding the trailer and Alex had a failed attempt at fixing the lights on the truck and trailer Alex and his dog Hazel left the farm on Campbell Road in Leeds ME and traveled south towards Windham and ultimately headed in the direction of Windham and Hiram to help his girlfriend on the Hiram farm where they had 47 head of cattle. He never made it there.
Hazel was found two and a half days later on May 14th off of Gray Road at 135 Haskell Street in North Yarmouth/Gray Maine steps from the power line trails that line the Maine country side.
Hazel was not wearing her signature cowbell collar with her tags that had her name and family address printed on them instead she was wearing a Carhardt Collar typically sold at Tractor Supply. The family had never seen this collar before.
Alex was struggling with anxiety and had stopped taking his medication at the time of his disappearance. In no way shape of form do we know if this caused his disappearance, nor will we speculate that this was the route cause of his disappearance, but yet that it is one possibility in a list of possible scenarios including Alex being in an accident on a back trail or power line, while attempting to fix his vehicle that was having mechanical issues and sensor issues........................ or did Alex meet with misfortune in the Leeds/Turner area.
PRESENTING: LOST BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
PART 1 of the Investigation and Search with Sonar and a Search on Land for Alex that was performed in late June of 2023 approx... 50 days after Alex had gone missing with no trace.. other than the dog being found in Gray.
Recently, a new lead was found .. According to the family his truck was picked up by CCTV camera at the Leeds Central Elementary School and that was the last time either he or his truck and trailer was seen again that was around 4:30 on May 12th. This gives us one more driving direction location on the map to check next time the team goes back up.
RELEASE DATE OF THIS VIDEO WAS MARH 20, 20023:
JOE CHUTES WAS ARRESTED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ON MONDAY THE 25TH HELD IN JAIL TILL FRIDAY THEN RE-ARRESTED FOR ALEX's MURDER ON FRIDAY MARCH 29th AFTER A SEARCH WARRANT WAS EXECUTED ON THE FARM AT CAMPBELL ROAD IN LEEDS BETWEEN THE 26TH-28TH.

So much wooded land in Maine, very easy to drive off the road on accident and disappear. Sad for the family not to have answers on where he is, especially with the truck and trailer. Someone who loves their dog, wouldn't just leave them to fend for themselves if starting anew. Hopefully he is found soon, and just needed some time away.

I don’t think he left his dog and family but people do leave their whole life behind. Husbands and wives have abandoned their spouses and children. You never know what someone is going through. I don’t think that’s what happened to Alex.

I just recently subscribed to your group, HOWEVER I have been following Jared from AWP and there have been a few incidents where he found vehicles in areas that he had previously searched and he even found someone in their vehicle in a spot that they didn’t believe was deep enough to hide a vehicle, I ALSO recall one search where they DIDN’T think a vehicle could have gotten over the guardrail or through a heavily dense area BUT THANKFULLY he decided to go back and check and he found the vehicle, PLEASE DON’T cloud your judgement because you don’t think a vehicle could get into that area or that you assume it’s too shallow, and as another follower has suggested, bring the dog into the area, I’ve seen it where the dog stayed in the area and THANKFULLY Jared went back and sure enough he found her, dogs are crazy loyal and WILL stay in the area for as long as possible plus the collar COULD have been changed BEFORE they went missing due to many reasons, so TRY NOT to focus on the collar so much, and also, you MIGHT find the vehicle WITHOUT the trailer. As far as WHY he disappeared, NO ONE KNOWS for sure that he did this intentionally, and I’m SURE that the family DOESN’T want to believe that their loved one would be so depressed that they just gave up. I PRAY that he is found so his family can have him home and then they can finally greave for their loss, and God bless you for ALL that you do ❤

If the dog was at his last location before he vanished I’m sure the dog would hang around waiting for his master to reappear, if the dog was found only 2 days later then the dog was still in the area his owner vanished.

Andrew we agree and that is why the focus has been that area. But with the collar changed as you will learn it creates a "gray area" .. no pun intended .. Was Hazel dropped off there by Alex or by someone else or did the dog run from a short distance or long distance to get to where she was so close to the Grandparents resting place and home just two to three miles north of Haskell road next to the power lines?

We have seen it in many cases that most dogs stay in the last location of their owner for a good amount of time sometimes days and the location that the dog was found was close to a very well known area Alex knew, on the way from Leeds to Windham .. plus the dog was in perfect health and had 0 effects of being out for 2 plus days other than being hungry and had no scrapes or cuts nor was he tired from running a distance of that nature. I do believe he is in the area closer to where Hazel was found. I thought maybe the collar was changed so that when the dog was found ,the owner wouldn't be known right off. Keeping the collar as a sentimental thing makes sense too. It was around 430 in the afternoon when he was in Leeds and it doesn't get dark that early so if he did go off the road somewhere I would think he would have been seen.

I assumed (I know) that he'd been found since I never saw a single flyer or any follow up anywhere!!! How does that happen??? That makes me sooooo sad!!! @@mymonkey10 my grandparents lived in Maine and I have vacationed there and I also have family in New Hampshire very close to Maine. I started following this case a few months ago and have watched/ listened to all of the podcasts and have read everything I could find posted about it. One thing I have noticed after I started following is there seems to be a lot of people missing from Maine and people being killed. Personally I don’t know anyone involved in this case but I don’t think Alex left on his own and I don’t think he was in an accident! Just my opinion. I think the dog was dumped as a distraction so law enforcement would focus on that area . So many people say you can’t hide a big truck like that. My stepfather worked in a scrapyard for years. That whole truck could be dismantled and made unrecognizable in a couple hours! For the sake of Alex’s family and friends I truly hope I’m wrong and that he just decided to take off for a while.

@@broncoman3864 I think there are 120 ish missing people in Maine... I was shocked actually to learn of that many... A hay bail trailer isn't easy to conceal... I've also wondered if it was just detached from the truck at some point... but yes, the truck is a large one on its own... it seems that he owed a lot of people money, but would any of them do harm to a kid over a few grand??? Over cattle? The skidskeer debt was paid, I believe... the dog was rather close to his grandparents graves so if the dog was dumped as a distraction, was that by pure luck or someone that knew? While scrap yards have a verification process, I'm sure they're might be some shady ones out there... I need to take a look at what info is out there... in between the other cases that I'm following and are deep into... It's just a terrible situation all around... I hope that his family gets some resolution !!!

@@mymonkey10I know his truck was registered or they at least know the license plate number. I haven’t seen anything mentioned about the license plate number for the trailer. You could scrap a trailer like that piece by piece and no one think twice about it. There are machines that shred metal like it’s paper. I agree the trailer could have been separated from the truck. Definitely would make it easier to hide. A lot of people just take plates off other trailers and slap them on a different trailer. It’s a flatbed trailer and would be very easy to dismantle or make look totally different. I bet if you drove around Maine you would see hundreds of them sitting on peoples property or in junkyards. There are a few things that I find odd about this case. People close to him have changed their stories and some are flat out lying about his past. No one is judging him! If you had a missing loved one would you care if people knew their past if it meant finding them? I wouldn’t! I put out every last detail I could think of if it helped me locate my loved one! It’s awesome there are volunteers like Bill and Adventures with Purpose out there locating loved ones! I wish there were more people like them in the world! I also understand that they are not law enforcement and are not trying to solve crimes but I wouldn’t rule out anything when it comes to someone who is missing. It’s truly heartbreaking that people go missing and I can’t imagine how their families feel. God Bless all of them, their families , friends and the amazing people helping to locate them!

We are looking at this only as an accident or on purpose in our investigation because if it is something more than that than that is for the police to figure out. We are not going down that road till there is either more clues or more concrete information surfaces. We have learned recently from a recent podcast that the vehicle was picked up going by the Leeds Elementary School Cameras so the vehicle did leave Campbell road in the 4:00 /4:10 pm range as was indicated in Alex's texts .. Where it went after that is the mystery.
