Another great one, Tom and Maizie. You actually reached all the way to the lost community of PGR where that old marl pit is. The cassava that you saw being planted are for D & G to be used in the production of Red Stripe Beer. The cassava project was started a couple of years ago. All of those unused lands and those that are now beinh put in farming was once used by Eastern Banana Estates Limited for Banana Cultivation. In the 80's and 90"s bananas were shipped from the wharf in Port Antonio.

Wow!! St Thomas is a clean slate prime for development with all that open land there. I wish I was a developer. That place is in such a AMAZING LOCATION! The St Thomas bonus is that it is THE MANGO CAPITOL OF JAMAICA!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It’s pleasing to see people start farming again. After hurricane Gilbert; the entire vegetation was greatly damaged or destroyed. We had to get food from the USA. Farming is back hopefully bigger and better.

Hello my favorite KZfaqrs❤❤, blessings from God to see another day on two feet 🙏🏼. Beautiful drive through such a fruitful parish of St. Thomas. Tom, Calaloo, and Casava make delicious breakfast but not the same😊😅😮. Would love some of those mangoes. Don't follow the GPS and end up in the swamp 😊. Driving through nature keeps the lungs healthy. I was battling with asthma for a while and I detoxed with herbs and ate ripe Soursop without juicing and I was able to walk two miles and jog one mile today without difficulties. That's why I give God thanks every day 🙏🏼. I would live in the countryside any day, just breathtaking ❤❤. That GPS is crazy. I was scared too Madge 😅. Tom, you have guts! 😂. Thank you, Tom, for stepping in. and protecting the young lady. That's the problem in today's society, see and blind, hear and deaf!!!

We get frozen cassava (some the actual root) here in the US. It appears it’s imported from the Spanish speaking countries because they call it yuca.

I would be scared to drive my car on those roads.

Madge I don't think it's wasted land I think they should keep a lot of the forest because it makes people breathe better it cleans the air if we cut down every tree and build houses the place will be polluted and all the fruit trees will be gone. I think the cities are populated but not the country areas at least from where I'm looking from all the KZfaq videos.

Oh my goodness. My heart was in my mouth. The funny thing is that I grew up in the country…Cambridge, St. James..so I should be used to the country roads. But, here we are 40 years later, living in Canada 🇨🇦. Glad you made it to Winchester. And, thank you for sharing your journey with us, your viewers.
