God bless her. I am old enough to remember her on Lassie. My cruel father used to sing "Lassie, you're a dumb dog" when that show's theme played. He thought that was funny.

She was born June 25, 1925 in New York City. It is now 2024, she's still alive and will be 99 y.o. on June 25. Cheers to her! I think she'll make it to 100! Less than 1% of Americans live to be 100.

Many years ago I worked at a high end restaurant. The work was fast paced, and exciting. One afternoon I was doing touch up work in the dining room. The owner came from the kitchen looking for me. He said his brother in law was in town from Los Angeles, and he wanted me to wait on him and his parents when they arrived. I asked “what was he in town for?”. He answered “ he’s in town for a comic book convention, he used to be a child actor” “he was in some space show”. I almost passed out, I asked “ you mean Billy Mumy from “Lost in Space”?”.yes, his name is Bill Mumy, do you know of him?”. I said of course, I wanted to BE Will Robinson when I was a little boy, but my mom wouldn’t let me watch them show. He said “then I know you’ll take good care of him. I suddenly became a nervous wreck. I had met many celebrities at work, had always kept my cool, never asked for an autograph. But my childhood hero was coming in and I had to keep it together. The party arrived, I couldn’t believe I was shaking his hand and saying hello. Bill was actually talking to me and calling me by my name. I was charmed by him, he was so kind. The next several years, he dropped in from time to time. He always asked for me to wait on him. Once he asked if I ever saw the show anymore. I told him, sadly no. I didn’t have cable back then and hadn’t seen the show in years. Several months later a package was in the mail. It was from California. Inside was an 8x10 autographed glossy of him, autographed “have fun John, Billy Mumy”, included was a VHS tape with a label in Bills handwriting, the titles to my favorite episode, his favorite episode, and the pilot. I was so thrilled that he remembered which was my favorite episode, and took the time to send me this special gift. It was more than kind, it was thoughtful. I actually still have the tape. Several months later, he was in town again, I waved when he came in, and thanked him so much again for the gift he sent. He offered me something else I couldn’t take him up on. He was in town for another comic book convention and asked if I had plans Sunday, which I did. He wanted me to come his hotel, the Ritz Carleton in Dearborn. He said we could have lunch and he had a limousine to take to the show where I could hang out and watch his talk at the show. Of course my boss wouldn’t let me go, I was disappointed. But it was so sweet of him to invite me. Another time, the owners mother was visiting Bill and her daughter Eileen in California. When she returned she said she ha a story only I would appreciate. One evening when she was with her grandson while Bill & Eileen was out the phone rang. She picked up the phone and some woman asked to speak to Billy. She told the woman he was out and could she take a message. It was June Lockhart and could he please phone her back. She asked how much I’d be willing to pay for her number. We both laughed about that one. I worked at the restaurant 13 years and just could never get over knowing him, and him remembering my name.those were fun years.

Harris is awfully cheeky! Gotta love it! Saw a whole bunch of KZfaq videos he did where he was much more demure & reserved & introspective. He discussed many things, the show, his friendship with Redd Foxx, etc. Nice thoughtful man when he’s quiet. I was waiting for someone to ask Marta about the nudes she wound up doing but thank God they probably screened those kinds of questions out. Funny to hear about Bloop Bloop, but c’mon! That’s kinda rough! Take all her teeth out? Ever hear of the ASPCA? Where were they when this happened? Angela & Marta & June still look stunning. Goddard has aged well, he looks almost the same! Sounds the same too! Time has been good to him. Harris is pip. I’m just bummed we didn’t hear from or see the real guy behind the robot! Good video though.
