As someone who completed Lost Judgment before Judgment - true, but low-key, me personally, I kinda like Judgment combat a bit more

I agree with ya @Polestar_9 personally, I like some aspects of Judgment's combat system a bit more than LJ's (like the wall jump and leapfrog attacks/throws being more consistent to pull off, ESPECIALLY on bosses). Not to mention the infinite combos and crazy damage you can pull off when you start unlocking more skills. Plus the pacing is slower, but methodical like you said👍

Yes on the proper monitor. QD-OLED makes everything shine. As for platform... I prefer my games in 4K60 minimum, with good antialiasing. And the option to use mods to upgrade the textures in these notoriously low-detail games.

@@angelusvastator1297 i'd say poking and sweeping style Poking style would be faster and defensive with better movemente as well, it wouldn't deal much damage despite it's attacks hittin one enemy at a time, but it would also be really easy to change targets too, it would be a good style to learn your enemy before risking using sweeping style The Sweeping style would go for wide and strong roundhouses, flying kicks and shit, it wouldn't have as much mobility and evasive potential as poking style but if you know when to use your dodges, counters and hyper armors you will have no problem at all The idea is kunda the same as Tiger and Crane from first Judgment but there you would have a style to deal with grunts and to deal with bosses, here both can be convenient as poking Style is safer for it's speed and range adjustment, perfect for when you reach a hard phase of a boss or when you can't risk taking damage at a fight, and Sweeping style would have the damage for big guys and the wide kicks to delete groups at ease, but it would require you to get more concentrated and get your timing right

If I'm not mistaken, someone has made a mod for LJ with Akiyama as the focus, called "The Lifeline of Yokohama." Might be worth a look if you're still interested!

Sadly Yagami's adventure most likely will :( BUT they will continue to evolve this beat em up style! Hopefully we'll get Sugiura or Kaito as the lead in Judgment 3..

The combat is nice, but honestly at least imo the story isn't as good as the first judgement.

100%! 60fps turns the combat from a beat em up to more of a fighting game imo. There's so many combos you can do with or without switching styles as long as you get the timing down for when certain moves end to immediately do the next. Plus there's a few running attacks you can throw in at close range that launch if your quick enough. It is possible to pull off this stuff at 30fps, but it's definitely tougher..

@@SURU_ Yeah, it is super satisfying when you managed to do a decent juggle combo with 30 fps. You can still make use of the crane's attack speed boost with 30 fps and the results is super goddamn amazing

Oh yeah, Crane's speed boost on top of being able to cancel ANYTHING in Ex Boost is so nice! It turns Yagami into an unstoppable fidget spinner lol

And to end this discussion, my favorite style to juggle with is 100% the boxing style, combining with the attack speed boost, the juggle combos you can make with it is insanely nice. And because of that i kinda want Yagami to show up in another fighting game like Tekken and stuff

@@Steak818 As you mention Capcom, I would say, Dawn of Dreams has better combat than this aswell , then there's Ninja Gaiden sigma trilogy, Killer is dead and Afro Samurai. But that's not to say that Lost a judgment can't hold it's own. I just wouldn't put it up there. If one prefers a more street Martial Arts brawl with the yakusa mechanics? 🤷🏿‍♂️ Perhaps judgment is it.

Nah, nothing feels like Urban Reign. That game was the peak of beat em up mechanics along with god hand.

I agree with ya. Depending on which aspect of the combat you enjoy, it's pretty close between JE and LJ. Personally, I lean towards LJ because the combat is less restrictive, but that makes me enjoy JE's realistic and intense fights that much more! Yagami seems more balanced in JE as well, even after unlocking most of his skills. Hopefully Like a Gaiden will take the best parts from each game and make it even better 🤞

@@SURU_ still LJ has some martial art vibe because when you fight a bunch of thug you can always clean the road, but when a strong foe appear the match rhythm became slower and more intense tho (except the street boss cuz they're dumb as hell unless they're the one with a gun and the nouva riche)

@@FreakinMORI So true, going from JE to LJ gives you the feeling Yagami has become much more experienced with his martial arts. Crane style's a perfect example; going from being semi inconsistent to being an ultra fast, stylish tool. Other than a few bosses, there's not many threatening enemies. The boss with a gun and the gold suit guy are the worst though haha

Lost judgment is only tough cos bosses can get slippery and some status ailments require more button presses to recover on harder modes but otherwise, it's extremely easy

IGN never understand the appeal of any RGG games. Almost all of RGG games got 7 from them which is insane

Absolutely. You probably won't see it in no damage videos like this, but keeping the AI off of you can be fairly tricky. If you're interested in the series, you should give Lost Judgment a try👍

Of course, he executed multiple counters, dodges, and spaced properly from opponents, this guy is just really good

Yeah but only the mid to late game enemies, early on the fights feel too easy because the enemies arent very aggressive. At a certain point tho you'll start feeling the need to get more upgrades for even just the regular street fights, especially the fat rich golden suit guys, i've died to at least 10 of them
