Gotta be honest this was probably the best show you guys ever had. When something so silly happens in theater it's usually much more entertaining than whatever you actually practiced was. I'm a sound designer/stage technician and according to our audience one of the funniest shows was when someone fucked up and forgot to add glasses of drinks on stage for the scene and in spur of the moment the actor just yelled in-character ''Hey audio guy,can I get a drink or something?'' and I just walked next to her like I owned the place with a cup of coffee in hand,started drinking it and said ''I didn't study how to be a technician for 4 years just to serve actors coffee.'' and then walked back to my desk.

In my high school, we did A Midsummer Night’s Dream one year. Lysander BROKE HIS LEG a few days before opening night, so they re-choreographed the whole show to work around it and make it part of the play and it worked BRILLIANTLY.

I’m curious what you would have done in the present, since you said you were terrible at improv at the time. I always liked thinking on my feet during plays, even when I was younger, but I had to be sure I knew EXACTLY what my lines were. 😝

That must have been quite embarrassing. I recall a few incidents like that in a few performances I've seen in theatre. Like this one time at the Nutcracker where one of the ballet dancers lost one of their shoes and had to step out to put it back on. And during Shrek the Musical back in May, one of the Three Blind Mice lost their tail and it stayed on the stage until they changed the stage! Do you still do theatrical performances?

Oh hey I also played Tweedle Dum in my school's production and was injured during a show! Our fight costumes were basically smocks with a lot of random objects attached to them. One of my objects was a medium sized wooden picture frame, and as I ran backstage after the scene, the frame bounced against my leg and hit me square in the crotch. Thankfully I had a bit of time until my next scene, and the show went off well, but it Was Not Fun.

My teacher chose Alice for the Fall Show, and The Wiz for the Spring Show. I was and Oz Citizen and the Mayor Munchkin. It was a lot of fun and I ironically was a great friend and supporter of Evilline, whose actress was also Cheshire Cat in Alice, which was the first play I had seen before, and then all 4 of the Wiz performances, and finally Hamilton.

I remember desperately trying to avoid as much human interaction as possible throughout all of school, and I somehow managed to stay almost completely invisible (with the exception of the counselors, who thought I was suicidal for some reason). That is, until I found myself in speech class. Of course, I asked for a schedule change on day one, but the system took several weeks to update. Which means, for the next three weeks, I was stuck in the very thing I was trying to avoid since kindergarten. Unsurprisingly enough, I can't remember the details of what happened in those three weeks, but I do remember discovering four things. First, brutally short deadlines are the best way for me to not immediately scrap the foundation of an idea. Second, public speaking is much less stressful if I hide behind a character. Third, I met a very good friend (however, I have since completely forgotten who they were or what they look like). And apparently, I make for a mildly entertaining supervillain (or at least enough to get a hollow, meaningless applause from my peers).

ElectricDragon505 this is probably not nearly as bad, but once in 8th grade we were doing a ribbon dancing scene for Christmas pageant and someone's ribbon attached to my earring, so that when they pulled away my earring came off. I'm sure no one noticed but it was extremely disorienting.
