Just beat this game today. It's criminally underrated. Easily one of the best JRPGs I've ever played.

Today I finished this game for the first time. The truth is that I do not understand how it is not a more recognized game. It is very good, with an excellent story, really challenging fights, endearing characters and a soundtrack that will resonate in your head for a long time. I want Lost Odyssey 2, Microsoft.

Epic song, I stood there doing nothing for a bit during this fight just to listen to the song. And I'll be honest, I was such a fangirl for Kaim for a while haha that's why I was annoyed with Sarah for a while XD But now I'm happy for them, both are great characters, especially Kaim. He changed so much throughout the game, I loved it all. And ya know...I hated Jansen or a while, but now I'm sooo glad he was there

Now to comment on the song itself, I love the rap that begins to take place at 3:23, somehow it is cryptic and adds to the mood of the theme. It's pretty nuts to say the least, I gotta hand it to Uematsu in that regard, he really went all out with this theme. It's that rap though, it's cryptic as hell, I am certain it's in Japanese, but the guy just did a great job of actually adding to the atmosphere with the driving guitar, to me that's the best part of this awesome theme.

Also at 3:22 it is FF7 Boss Battle theme, it's clear as day in the background.

I just came back to this game after a year and beat it a couple days ago. I'm really glad I got bored enough to come back to it. I should've beaten it sooner. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the current final fantasy, but it's a really good game with a great story. Too bad it's probably gonna be one of the most underrated rpgs in recent years. Maybe one of the most underrated ever.

first time i heard this when i got to gongora i had a awesomegasm

Has to be one of the greatest RPG's I've ever had the pleasure of playing, the story and the characters are flushed out and not rushed and it's really does have an emotional impact on you. Certainly more than deserving of a sequel and much more coverage than it originally got. Though FF12 will always be my favourite RPG and I love FF13, Lost Odyssey would have made a great FF13; but then when I think about it, I'm glad it isn't tainted by Square Enix's hands and it's, it's own game and hopefully it's own series soon? Microsoft don't let this one fall into the darkness, it's a great final fantasy rival and in many respects it tells a much more satisfying and immersive story. Especially in this last battle, couldn't help but feel epic fighting the final boss and how it all played out in the end.
