Hello LOST Fans!
Welcome to "LOST On The Couch", a bi-weekly reaction series to the hit 2004 ABC TV show LOST. I (David) have seen the show 7ish times all the way through and my friends (Audrey, Hassan, and Zola) have never seen it before!
I have always wanted to show my friends the experience that is LOST, so I decided I'd stick a camera in their faces and see what they thought of it! I also, with their permission, want to share it with whoever might be interested in watching it again through their eyes. After all, that is the closest us Losties can ever get to watching it again for the first time. ;)
I'm actually a musician and composer, NOT a video editor, so don't expect too much fancy editing, but I very much enjoy this as a hobby.
I sincerely hope you all enjoy these as much as I enjoy making them! Reach out to me in the comments if you have any suggestions, hopes, dreams, theories, advice, whatever. But NO SPOILERS!

Jack begins to have faith in Faraday's plan as he joins forces with Eloise to find Jughead. "Locke" spends his time stirring up some trouble with The Others, and puts the pieces in place for the epic finale. The couch gang is definitely IN IT as they offer up some great theories as usual!

I can’t believe we are already almost to the S5 Finale… 😅 it’s so bittersweet! 🥲 I love this episode a lot and the finale is so amazing. I’m so excited to see their faces during S6 😂 So excited :)

Zola is still so upset about Dan! Love how she had theories about the show throughout the week! We have a true LOSTie on our hands!!! Love the conversation about Eloise! I always have to explain “penultimate” to people as well, David. Lol Zola and her damn theories lol. I’m not believing this!!!!! 😮😮😮😮 I’ve always loved Jack & Kate’s conversation in the tent. “It was not all misery.” “Enough of it was.” Lol at Hassan saying Kate is the MWP aka Most Worst Player! 🤣 Phill is the WORST!!! Glad Hassan agrees lol Juliet on the sub breaks my heart every. single. time. 💔 I’m convinced Kate is the smoke monster now. She has caused a lot of trouble. 😛

I’ve always wondered why nobody asks Locke if his heart is beating and what’s running through his veins, because it wouldn’t be blood if he was on view at the funeral home. Or why Ben isn’t more suspicious… Locke gets back and immediately wants to kill Jacob, that’s extremely un-Locke-like.

Everything in 2007 Locke is un-Locke-like, every one was pointing at it back in the days, some found out why some just thought it was poor writing initialy.

Very interesting discussion, as usual. I just think you should be a little softer on Kate. If I was in Kate's shoes, I would react the same way. And I don't think she goes to the sub in order to ruin things. She, like Jack, believes she is trying to save everyone. They just disagree on how to do it.

David, do you folks plan on revisiting the blast door map to re-observe and dissect all the contents that this season and the the final season will reveal? It would be a great way to circle back around to it.

all the leaders of others sacrifice their children. Passengers do the same when they start serving the Island. Widmore and Eloise, Ben, Claire, Kate, Sun and Jean, Desmond, dr. Chang - they all either sent the children to certain death or left them to their fate

Technically, "resurrected Christian" 1st told John he had to die. Then, "resurrected Locke" told Richard to tell Locke he had to die. 🤯

no but john told christian that he had to die then christian replied: i guess that’s why they call it a sacrifice, there could be two reasons he replied that way in the past, he either knew what would happen cuz “the island told him” or he didn’t entirely know but when john told him he had to die, he probably thought that would be one less candidate to deal with, maybe there’s more reasons but that’s my theory

Totally agree with you about Jack's ideals. Also... he is convinced that his destiny is to change everyone's destiny.

Interesting & Great point you made about Jack. Even though he's a man of Faith now you still know it's him so that it's believable. I say this because Spoilers... When Locke comes back alive Terry O Quinn was not told he would be the smoke monster/MIB. He was only told to play a more confident Locke with no fear. Makes me Wonder If they told Matthew Fox to still be Jack with Faith.

As much as I love LOST, this episode raises the biggest red flag of the show that I just can’t get past. I can’t go into detail about it until after the finale to avoid spoilers.

LOST is a show you watch with open eyes and ears, LOST will show you things once. miss important things because of the sound or music, you will have not followed the journey. watch the show, follow the journey. miss out on scenes, you have not followed the journey (you have NOT watched LOST)

Why would flocke want Richard to bring him to jacob house whereas he knew where jacob lived( intro incident part 1) ? is it part of loophole to pretend to ignore jacob’s location?

Audrey: "There's so much that has to happen in season 6 for it to make sense." Exactly how I felt at the end of season 5. And really...it never ended up making sense. Eventually you just accept that, but it wasn't what I wanted.
