Lost Ruvi tape: NSYNC behind the scenes, 2000

9 жыл бұрынNSYNC recording an acceptance speech for the 2000 VIVA Comet Awards and singing a cappella, circa September 2000 in San Francisco. Recorded on a Sony CCD-CR1 Ruvi pocket-size analog video camera, which was the world's smallest camcorder at the time.

People don’t realize how solid their harmonies were. They just casually made up a song here and sang it in a perfect harmony! I love them. I hope they are actually back for good!

+Tyler Hanson Actually that's dependant on how the tape is transferred and decoded onto the computer, as many camcorders indeed do record in 50i/60i

+TCN0101 I used QTGMC and AVISynth to convert it from 60i to 60p, and then upscaled it to 4:3 720p (960x720) so that it would show up as 60p on KZfaq (since KZfaq doesn't support 60p at any lower resolutions).

+Tyler Hanson NTSC standard is 60 fields per second. These fields are encoded into 30 frames per second using interlacing. The correct way to deinterlace VHS/Betamax/DV and any other 30i (also known as 60i) format is to deinterlace it into 60 frames per second. If you want to rip your VHS/DVD/DV/whatever stuff at 60p and don't know how, tell me what software you use, I might be able to provide instructions.
