See, John was right. Everything that happened to him and Jack brought there. Even John's death, as pathetic as it was, brought Jack around. John didn't die in vain.

It’s an incredible storytelling set-up to have two “leaders” who are both so right and so wrong and are on the absolute extremes of logic/reason/science vs faith/destiny. There’s no chance either will ever concede their worldview. But we as the audience trust and want to follow both. How could you disagree with a leader who is a hyper-logical doctor genius in a situation like this. But how could you disagree with a leader who had paralyzed legs literally 24 hours ago and is now walking around on two perfectly normal legs and somehow is able to magically interpret the actions of an island… … An island….

The brilliance of this show is that you can say Locke was right and wrong at the same time

@@Mozee854 He is right that big plan is to choose candidate among them, but not everything is part of the plan, Locke was too enthusiastic everything connected to the island that is why MiB was able to manipulate him.

This scene show that they planned the story since the beginning. I'm not talking about mysteries or details or characters like Linus that will become part of the show (michael emerson was so great in season 2 they keep him until the end). I'm talking about the purpose of the show. What the goal of this story. Jack: "what happen if i catch my dead dad?" Locke: "I don't know but what i saw it was beautiful" well at the end Jack catch his dad and then there is this beautiful scene in the church. Jack was always an allegory of Alice in wonderland, and the white rabbit was his father. The final of season 3, jack centric, is called "through the looking glass". He livess an adventure in a "wonderful land"... there is so many things on this show. I can't believe people only cares now for "who will die" in the next GoT or TWD episode.... -_-

Boulbi Boulga Thank you. I'm tired of saying this everytime. That's what Lost is about. And these shows from today are useless entretainment. Lost is complex, spiritual, psycological, and so on...Each one of the episodes are pure philosophy.

I agree my friend , I think that lost ( Or his universe) and mysteries that surrounds it was so much more cooler than the likes of Got and TWD . Ps : I have watched GoT and TWD , they are good but not as good as lost . Peace

I believe the writers/directors/producers had a Beginning and End sketched out from the get go, but ABC said hey guess what...this thing is a ratings powerhouse and captures the exact market we want...the 18 to 45 market AND it draws a heck of a lot of women too. So we want 10 seasons. The showrunners said no way can we do 10 seasons, there's just not enough material to do that. They compromised and got 6 seasons. And yes, Charlotte, Naomi, Minkowski, Regina, the doctor etc were all filler. No way to describe them otherwise. Still...the shows book ends were powerful and compelling. You won't find tighter more rich narratives on TV even today. And the characterizations of the principals is unmatched.
