This is what I love about Rosalia. The second the song ends she pushes the microphone to the side like a boss, gets up and Immediately reaches out to the guitar player to hug him. People in Spain (where half of my family is from) do that always. She doesn't focus on the audience first. She focuses on her guitar player to show unity with him first and then looks at the audience. You will only find that kind of people in Spain, in Portugal, in Brazil and in Columbia. People from those countries have a heart of love !!!!!!!!!!!!

I think she delivers with each song the feelings that go with it... and she has so many songs with such different intentions. When I heard the El Mal Querer (the whole album) I felt the raw emotion of that story, the pain and then you listen to her aute coture and you can feel power... Lots to explore now and I hope for more in the future, she has a lot creativity and an adventurous spirit. Awesome reaction!

I liked your comment that "it´s funny how pop music doesn´t catch that power", I´m very happy to see that you´re looking back at Rosalía´s roots and can see how emotional she becomes while singing, the fact that she´s able to transmit that though her voice to the audiance is truely magical, only the really great artists have this don. As you can tell Flamenco is very emocional , some might see similarities with Blues. We should notice that the singers voice is the major component it´s backed up by a guitar and/or clapping, this format Rosalía uses but by changing the guitar/ clapping for electronic precussion she is basically modernizing Flamenco and bringing it back updated and refreshed ,"Di mi Nombre" or "Que no salga la Luna" are good examples from her album "El Mal Querer" which I would now call New Flamenco. Her colaboration with James Blake "Barefoot in the Park" is probablly the first of many , on the menu amonst others Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Travis Scott. I´m looking forward to hear these. All of these are cover versions with more modern or accessible arrangements.

Also, if you allow me a recommendation on modern Flamenco, if you're interested, there's a singer who is fairly new, but she's amazing and pretty accessible too (the more traditional stuff can be harder to digest). Her name is Maria José Llergo, and she has 2 videos: Me Miras Pero No Me Ves (a dark and experimental song with a bit of a tribal feeling) and Niña de las Dunas (a song that is intense and almost mystical, and the guitar is SOOOOOOO good).

I think one of you is named Big C?. The one with glasses (I wear glasses too). Ok, Big C , I've watched you sevaral times, and you Big C want to learn the language "very inappropitely named" Spanish. In fact, it is not Spanish, but Castellano. We have 5 languages in Spain. We'll politicians had to choose an official language, and since the Parlament was in Madrid, they said Castellano will be official language. From my point of wieu I would have chosen "Gallego" language (so beautifull, musical). Bueno, Gan C, para que practiques tu Castellano. Eso no es una guitarra acústica. En España inicialmente sólo usábamos 2 guitarras. La Guitarra Clásica y la Guitarra Flamenca. Maderas diferentes, cuerdas distintas, clavijas más o menos altas. La Guitarra Flamenca es UNA MARAVILLA. Yo tuve la suerte de tener una y aprender a tocarla. Luego me regalaron, muy erróneamente, una Guitarra Clásica. Que por cierto, como era un regalo de mi novio, se "gastó un pastón" - expresión, significa que te gastaste mucho dinero- y no sirvió para nada. ¡Oh no! "¡Qué gran metedura de pata!" -expresión española que significa que lo hiciste muy, muy, muy, pero que muy mal-. Nada, no me gustaba el sonido, las cuerdas muy gordas, las clavijas muy altas, las cajas diferentes, las maderas, ... ¡En fin! En resumen. Lo que tú llamas guitarra acústica en realidad es Guitarra Flamenca. Gran C, sigue aprendiendo Castellano, es la fuente de la mayoría de los países Iberoamericanos.
