Multiply or Release 41 - Charged Shots vs Burst Shot

Classic multiply or release, but choose between releasing as a charged shot or a burst shot.
Burst shots size is determined by the remaining amount of charge to release - increased by 1 for every 10 times size.
Settings:
New marbles added every 60 seconds.
Ball size limit is 20000.
Options: Multiply, Release Charged Shot, Release Burst Shot
Changef in this version:
Every block conquered slightly reduces the speed of the shots, so a shot travelling through many blocks might be pushed back and eventually return in the opposite direction.
Four colors competing:
Cyan, Yellow, Red and Blue
Which colour will win?

A very clooooose fight. Blue mostly had an advantage, but Red was still alive while having a ton of close calls(such as 21:04) +RIP Yellow and Cyan caught in a middle of Red and Blue's fights...

Spoilers! (kinda) ______________________________ Can we just appreciate how cyan and yellow sacrificed their lives for us to watch an intense battle between blue and red? I mean we got a Blue Domination Era but Red somehow survived with precise luck, insane!

Spoiler: Blue won in the classical "flood the map" way, but not the "send the big boi into yer face" way that most of them did before the burst shots were introduced into the game. Nice play, Blue! You did well in destroying my favourite Red (You also played well in defense, unluckily your opponent Blue just gathered enough charge and flooded the map). Meanwhile, Yellow and Cyan: The match didn't even give us a chance to win :(

Right?! I was screaming at red to just get a 2k burst shot in. Finally did and blue immediately replied with an 8k and a 16k charged shot and a massive burst to finish it off. I was rooting for red for most of it, but blue just played so much better. Gg

Red would have released a 67 108 864 worth rain of bullets if the algorithm didn't limit it to just 20 000 by forcefully sending it when it exceeds this amout. Legend has it would have covered the whole screen.

Think it wasn't quite symmetrical for the red side. Just under your logo, it seemed like red was falling into the deploy option way more than blue was. For blue when it was pressed all the way to the inside wall and fell in that hole it almost always bounced to multiply. Red though almost never made it. Think the little bumper divider was a bit off for red side.

Great video! I just see something minor with exact same number balls though. Some ‘2’ balls in 1:51 from burst shots for example looked bigger than the other ‘2’ balls when running to tiles. If you look very closely, you’ll see what I mean. This could also apply to charged shots, too. Isn’t that normal?

Spoilers! This includes big shots (that are important) and deaths! ________________________________________________ 1:45 - Yellow get’s a really big shot! (For the time being ) They now hold an advantage 2:40 - Blue get’s a big shot! This is the biggest so far 3:23 - Blue’s record didn’t last long, and it’ll be way harder to beat! Red got a massive shot 3:56 - Blue gets a 4096 burst shot! It isn’t the biggest we’ve seen tho 4:04 - Red follows up with a 2048 burst shot! It’s like only Blue and Red are fighting and Cyan and Yellow are just there 4:21 - Yellow got Eliminated after Blue and Red’s massive spread shits 4:26 - Cyan followed the exact same fate as Yellow 10:40 - Blue’s first big shot finally disolved 12:09 - Blue releases a 1024 burst shot 16:30 - Red’s veteran shot finally disolved

Could you do a mode where if a marble is deep in it's territory say 5 blocks from a color border it would absorb that block? So that it unclaims that territory, increses the value by 1 and brings it to the front line.

I think the charged shots are a good concept. But aren't great in practice. All they seem to do is run around the board and claim tiles. Which is still great. But because they're so big, they can't fit into those corners to take out a player. Also because they're so big any little balls just get shoved out of they way because the big shots take up most of the board. The burst shots are so much more effective than the charge shots. They claim the territory so much faster and actually seem to render the charge shots useless as any territory they claim is just taken by a bunch of tiny shots nearly instantly. Maybe a concept to improve the charge shots is when they collide with an enemy shot they lose some value based on how much that shot was worth. Obviously the bigger one stays and the smaller one is destroyed but it speeds up the process and makes the big shots a little more powerful than just big slown bouncers

@@lostmarbles2d Experiment failed. The Shots are too slow. If you want to make a difference between ally and enemy territory just make a speed boost whenever on ally territory

I've been wanting to expand that as a perk for the Patreon, just haven't gotten around to it. The idea being to provide a simulation that users can run themselves, selecting their own colours etc. There doesn't seem to be much interest in that at the moment so I haven't prioritised it.
