Four colours, controlled by marbles, battle for control of a 1000x1000 pixel grid.
Marbles start at number 1, and multiply in value when they enter the corresponding green triggers. If they enter the red triggers, their number will reset to 1, and the number that was reached will be launched as either a burst attack or a charged shot.
Burst attack will fire shots equal to the number reached, up to several hundred or thousand shots per second depending on the number of shots still be to launched. Any subsequent burst attacks will increase the number of shots remaining. Each shot will convert one territory pixel to the player's colour.
A charged shot will combine the full number into one large shot, which will convert territory pixels equal to its number.
The charge can also be used to replenish the player's shield. The shield blocks any incoming shots, and takes damage equal to the shot strength.
New in this version:
- Ammo/machinegun trigger has been split into two:
- Straight line shot: the cannon won't rotate, unless to shoot at a nearby enemy shot
- Rotating shot: the cannon rotates as normal

Like others mentioned, I think you should give those timers a purpose: the more time a ball in the plinko is alive, the more it shrinks, obviously countered by the value of the ball (the more value the ball has, the more time the ball should shrink in order to pass) That way, those millions and billions that get stuck, eventually pass through

I personally don't like it, as it makes the marbles more stuck than they were before the moving marbles were added. Previously they were stuck for at most 20 to 30 seconds. Now, they're getting stuck for entire minutes.

Plus, it gets even worse when some balls are just too big to even get into the exit gates to be put into action. Like at about 13:00 where Blue's 268M marble just couldn't fit where previously there were 1B marbles in previous iterations

@@JustAJosuke this was intentional, a preventative measure to keep blue from winning prematurely. If it had passed, blue could have won before the others had a chance to prepare. Personally, I like it.

Got to say, I'm not a fan of the resurrection mechanic, or the ball block because 'too big' mechanic. It felt like "somehow, Palpatine returned".

I liked the resurrection, but the ball block make the video slower. I have a good idea the ball should lose mass every certain time to make it fit

I believe you both make good points. I liked the resurrection, but I did not like purple reviving with 15 marbles due to the 200m marble that revived it. Due to that alone purple had more marbles then blue did even though blue never died

Okay so first of I absolutely love the new stirrers, it makes the marble side so much more interesting to look at. I was a little iffy about the gaps barely fitting the max size balls, seeing the 1B get stuck for 10 minutes was painful and even caused purple's death?! BUT then, revival mechanics?? Omg sooo good no these work perfectly together I love it!! Was rooting for purple but respect the hard fought victory, blue did great

I think this is the reason. One big marble dorpped at 2 minutes, and game over. I think there is a mechanism in the background what decreases the size of the marbles overtime, so a big one might be blocked for a time, but eventually squeeze through.

Plot twist: the winner is the one with the biggest timer. In last place we have Yellow with a maximum of 5 minutes and 52 secondes. In third place, with 7 minutes and also 52 secondes we have Blue. In second place, with 8 minutes and 45 secondes we have Green. An the winner..., with 12 minutes and 2 secondes : Purple !!!

I'm very curious about the resurection mechanics. I imagine yellow was a weak resurrect vs purple having strong ones due to the size of the shot that did it? It's just very confusing. Props to purple for lasting as long as it did, and blue for dominating against a 1B shot.

I love this series :) In general, I think the new mechanic for getting balls unstuck is pretty solid, but I have a few suggestions: 1) less balls. There were so many of each that it was hard to track a lot, and a ton of them just kept getting stuck. If we fix the “gets stuck often” issue, more balls is going to speed this up a ton, while having less clarity on what’s happening 2) do something for balls that have been alive a long time. Perhaps every minute they are alive, their size reduces. When they make it through, they go back to their intended size. OR just have all balls slowly get smaller over the course of the match to incentivize games to end eventually through sheer numbers. Otherwise, a great video as always :) It gets better every time!

Secondary suggestions: Adjust the firing rate with the normal turret shot. It seems like it’s already scaling somewhat, but it takes the 300m+ setup takes a lifetime to clear. Perhaps have it calculate to do shoot faster with higher ammo counts? Some higher percentage? IE: Shoot 100k/second OR 1% of the total, whichever is higher. That way it should unload all of the ammo in the span of a few minutes, instead of an hour 😅 Also, perhaps add a time or something more visual to help identify when a turret can revive? It was neat to see, but confusing to understand.

Small suggestion, maybe change the burst attack to be a small constant shots per second (maybe 10000?) with a percentage on top of that (maybe 0.5%). This way, having 300M burst attack 1. Doesn't take forever and 2. 300M becomes more powerful than 3M Edit: I also want to agree with all the people saying shrink the balls over time so they fit

Like other have suggested the timers should have the balls reduce in size if they are unable to go through over a certain time but they should also be limited to a certain physical size, that being the size it is between the bottom pegs or the far right pegs should have more space between them then those in the center or one of the above or a combination of them all

Good episode, but I'm not a fan of jammed balls. Could you do something with the timer making it so that the longer a ball exists, the more it shrinks, so eventually it will fit. It would also be like a built in escalation as the game goes on. You could also just make the holes bigger, but that feels unfair the the colors that make a deathstar early.

Another detail that might be a bug, when yellow resurrected it did with only one ball in the left side, but when purple resurrected each time it did with all the balls.

I think they added a new mechanic that revives the main turret, but it requires a ball to be on the tile that it revives, and takes some value from the ball 37:35
