Dear Netease: You should have realized by now that the absolute only source of fun in your game is pvp. This game doesn't have anything else to offer the players, whatsoever. You should prioritize creating meaningful and fun PvE (and even new PvP) events in the game that require multiple and even specific commanders. What you are doing in PBE will not end the meta in the game, but create a new and more powerful one. With this new stupid energy system, you no longer need more than 4 commanders and everyone should quickly invest everything they have in the new 4 meta commanders. There are tens of ways that come to my mind (and I'm sure all other veteran players) to make this game more fun and enjoyable, but it looks like you're trying to find a new market at the expense of your current player base. Oh, and having the same 6 or so skills for all the equipment is so dumb! If you wanted to make a game for 8-year-olds, you should have made a new game, not destroying the one you already have!

Adding formations doesn't address the meta change the correct way, just buff weak commanders you don't need to force diversity through volume which is what this does.

@@GamingTremor Its not about balancing the game, its probably to force players to spend more. Seems like in the new version you will need to focus on at least 4 comms. Right now, if you focus on 1 or 2 comms, you can still fight well enough. But 2 strong comms probably wont be enough to run the whole formation. I am sorry, but if someone trusts the devs, that they came up with formation to balance the comms, its IMO just naive. They could at least try to do some balancing in the last year. The community was begging them over and over again for more than a year to balance the comms so more of them are useful, they didnt do a single thing. Yes, they are right, many of the comms are not used at all in fights. What a great discovery, players are saying this for more than a year. If the devs didnt have the ideas, there were many of interesting ideas in the suggestions on discord. This new version will probably end up with the same problems. After a while players will find out the best comms, builds and formations. There are some new version comm tier lists already on the internet.

I feel like if they wanted to change up meta they could’ve just tweaked the commanders damage or skills or stats instead of doing the whole formation thing such as in part 1 of the video

The thing i have an issue woth goes to the gap of ftp vs ptw. Now to have a strong army, you will need 4 commanders with gear. This is no issue with people that pay a lot of money. For the people that had 1-2 strong commanders and could at least contribute is something me way, they will get steamrolled every time. This was the ballance as most people have 1-2 strong commanders and could gang up on the people that had 4-8 strong commanders (just a few people). On top of that, theu put refinement back in. Meaning the gap between base gear and fully strengthend/refined gear is that much more. That is something that lead to more of a gop between ftp and ptw.

There are very few games that cares about non spenders because the main goal of these games it's profit,that's what pays the people developing it and makes millions for the owners,I've quit the game once they lowered the drops and made changes to the season pass

Hi not sure if this was addressed (I’m almost 100% certain it was) BUT I have 3 commanders who had their relic gear prior to update obviously mentioned it’s destroyed into pure material. Does my commander need to be “legendary” in order to actually equip the relic? They are all of “epic” rank currently

Thanks for the video mate. Regarding the unique equipment for the commanders, I'm a bit worried how every commander can now have a unique weapon slot, will increase the gap between F2P and P2W. Mithril cost a lot of gems or takes a long time to get through the Traven tips. This makes the P2W getting them on every commander a bit op and having a unfair advantage.

@@EJU-BU would be better to make the uniques better and you can use it as a "joker" for the abilities and stick with the 4 slots i mean how ridiculous would a WK look with an (old)aegis helmet above his angmar crown? :D just thinking for 5 minutes and dont get money for it, maybe they could get better results if they work for free? (netwase would love this idea)^^

Please mention to devs: They absolutely must allow you to turn in your items for the same item with a new random effect. They cannot continue with a random item plus random effect. MANY players have specifically spent tickets for their types of items. This is only way to allow a relatively seamless item transition.

I started playing 10-14 days ago after quitting State of Survival. The server is pretty much dead. Plus 4 commanders is probably more viable for whales(=more money). As long as the top 1% spends, that should keep the servers going. That was the motto on SoS. The "whales" in my server would probably just be a very low spender in SoS, I spent roughly 500 so far, I'm considered a high spender lol I was 35k deep on generation 1 on SoS, I spent 140k or so playing SoS

I was playing this game to pull out tranquility helmet for my MOS so that I could main him, with these changes there won't be any mechanics such as right? and even if i manage to pull out the item with specific unique it will not effect the formation so that won't be strong i guess..

Ummm i have a weird question I tried asking in game but nobody answers me... Okay so I've only been playing the game for a short time now I played most of season 1 as a super super noob in a very weak fellowship and then I have spent the last two seasons in very strong fellowships and have made a lot of progress unlock many commanders and begin leveling their respects up but I found in season 3 I have been facing a lot of players who have respect 10 or higher commanders and in the short time I've played I've only managed to get two commanders to level six and lots of others to ready for Ascension now what I'm wondering is it possible to play previous seasons over again without losing my current strength like for example can I go back to season 2 and keep doing that until my commanders are all higher respect levels or do I just have to keep advancing season by season cuz I noticed just before I started this season there was a list of season 1 2 and 3 and it seemed like I gave me the option to go back but I'm not sure how that works and I don't want to make a bad mistake

Certain troops have burn resistance and u can keep old gear and troop burn damage has been lowered

I also heard the devs mention they don't want the players to be forced to spend many hours per day to progress and enjoy the game. I'm actually with the devs on this one. The best way to achieve this is to reduce the current stupid march time! It takes sooooo much time to send troops from here to there. Most of my time playing this game is wasted by just watching my troops walk like a crippled turtle across the screen, and it's really painful! Particularly, pathing (paving) is the single most frustrating aspect of the game by far! Just eliminate the rule for connected land (like what you did for sweeping) and the game is so much more enjoyable and less time-consuming for everyone.

I saw some videos,i am confused... will i lose my items, heroes etc or ? Im f2p...but i played 10 seasons, grinded hard and made some friends..if i am about to lose everything,then i see no point. I got, t1 hero khaldon (R13 , unique gear max refined, other items purple max refined). T2- shadow R11, unique gear 5 stars, other items purple max refined. And R 7 kirun, he has 5,6 stars gold items, some are refined twice or x3, in short - i gave example. I have about 30 more purple items and about 5,6 gold items,but i have them on other heroes- about 6,7 R levels, t1 and t2, however,im not that precise in calculating the way i saw on video - so please,if possible,just let me know - is there a hope for me, to at least maintain unique gears on-my khaldon and shadow and at least gears enough to wear 3 heroes fully?? I don't know how value will change, it's just - im trying to say if only 60% of every thing i had -if i keep it,its all i need and im grateful to developers and every one. Please let me know or at least opinion. My gratitude

@@EJU-BU so, nothing lost,to be precise...and if it all goes into some points - I can simply rise my heroes,and- be at same R level -maybe even more since I got heroes I see as mistake for rising them... example..I have 2 t2 heroes....both respect level 8...and Instead return it ,I pick only 1 of them and lift him, maybe not level 16(8 + 8 ) but instead idk.. level 12,13...? The way I figured out.

Let me say this: For a mobile game, there are far too many serious changes in this update, at the beginning of every game there is a learning curve and most people (myself included) might go through the information gathering process once, but certainly not a second time. This will further minimise the playerbase, which has already shrunk terribly since the game's launch. I think that's it for LOTR. There were so many good alternatives to make the game better, but unfortunately they decided to take the path of luring more money out of peoples pockets with changes no one ever asekd for in the first place.

so instead of reworking other commanders to make them playable they rather screw up the game? - nice formations not able to reinforce in battle zone - nice for everyone who gets calpped by whales extra slot for unique - nice for whales, can clap even harder on low/mid spenders (dont even mention f2p in this game anymore)^^ i see a lot of great changes here tbh, they really do a good job... but thanks that you put much work into this video, thats the only good part of all this changes

TLDR for me, here are the new rules and system but erverything can change. You can keep your gear or change them but knowing the devs we are getting screwed either way. There are still stuff that dont work but dont worry, the devs "will" fix them before its rolled out. Its all a big mess and after all the screwing us they did they want us to trust them.

Получается ,киты смогут 4 своими командирами уничтожать целые фракции,так как раньше нужно было одного командира в битве уничтожить,пусть на это потребовалось бы 3 армии,то сейчас кита охраняет сразу 4 таких героя ,которых уже обычный человек не сможет ни как пробить.потому что 4 командира уже в бою с китом ,у которого 4 точеных золотых героев одновременно бьют ваших…

Like hold up at 3:10 you just explained the biggest issue. Some commanders just arn't being used. Well guess what they won't be used still because they still haven't touched their skills? like what a load of bull you're being fed and now sharing with us. I'm sorry but like come on man you can't believe the devs are doing formations for balance and letting people use none meta commanders? There will be a new meta in 2 weeks of the game coming out and it will now need people to have 4 stacked commanders instead of 1 or 2. Like geez be honest with us. I know you're a content creator and these guys give you a lot of incentive to give us this bull but come on man. Where is your honest opinion and comments on their lies. not even 4 mins in and I can't even. See what else you say.

It's a pbe a test mate that's why there actively making changes which they have already pbe is a complete test and many changes still need be made

For example they already made changes to certain commanders already as well to all the commander gear but still alot more changes to be done

Instead of changing the meta, upgrading weak commanders and making them better, the developers decided to completely change the formation of commanders, thereby killing the counter picks of the heroes, this is terrible

There is always a counter-pick in many games of this genre and this is normal, there are heroes who should be stronger than the other commander, one covers the other, but the second can be a counter-pick to the first

There is no all-powerful hero who can defeat everyone, this is part of the strategy, you always have to think and counter-pick the enemy hero to be effective. It’s a pity that this doesn’t reach them, they want all pvp to be the same and not interesting, no one will want to play this game. Their idea is to attract new players for the sake of losing old ones

Сейчас играть неинтересно.все играют двалинами,серыми гендальфами и гильгаладами.у темной стороны король,грима,саурон.а ведь еще есть куча разных героев.многие вложили огромные деньги в игру чтобы прокачать т3 героя ,а он по итогу слабее т1 .конечно таким людям обидно и нужен ребаланс

This game have got one big problem, p2w and people who brake the balance and make game just horrible to Play. How to fair fight vs guy who spend a lot of money who have full golden upgraded items. You have lvl 50 full army and guy just beat you losing about 100 units, but you lose all units... I've been playing since the game was released and have 7 gold items (without any upgrade) :(, never spend any $ on this game but now this last season was just a trauma gameplay so many p2w users whole season cant just get one fair pvp fight. They should fix this because this stupid mathoms brake the balance... the best time and best feeling from game was at start when all players was new nobody have p2w items, people just starting a journey that was golden time off lotr. I'm thinking about leaving the game due to the conditions in the game where a free user who has been playing from the beginning to this day and the person who spends dollars is, unfortunately, a gap that makes the game unplayable for free players. Personally, I don't recommend starting from scratch unless you plan to spend around $2,000+

I can advise as a person who has spent alot the formation system evens it out alot I have alot reports to back it up I have a full lv 50 all 4 commanders max gear in pbe and it can be killed but 2 normal battles vs lv 41s cause there alot randomness in battles now and not just complete meta build and countering

people paying keeps the game going but i can tell u now the formation system is way better then just maxed frenzy commanders its alot easier to beat whales and i have 100s battle reports to prove it

o Jogo esta morrendo.Os desenvolvedores que não escutam os jogadores começam a forcar atualizações que ninguém pediu! Ja pensou voce trabalhar com tempo construir suas coisas e do nada o Governo vem modifica sua vida e pega seus bens sem oferecer nada?! Foi isso que aconteceu, inventem outro jogo ou então devolva o dinheiro e o tempo gasto de quem não quer essa nova versão piorada!

Wrong. P2w pays all over again. And new gear that is zero stars is way stronger now. P2w has to pay for 4 heroes and not just one. Plus all their gear that was perfected is now going to all be randomly rerolled.
