Mattel just held their mini conference for investors and unveiled a brief look at their 2024 plan for Barney! This included some new merchandise and we're taking a good look at every new thing they showed us! Let's get ittttttttttttt

I literally hope that they drop the older Seasons on DVD. I hope Mattel goes to Shout Factory and have them remaster the older episodes because you know Mattel will make a lot of money for that.

Just a note about classic BARNEY albums: The first three BARNEY albums -- BARNEY'S FAVORITES V1, BF V2, and BARNEY'S SLEEPYTIME SONGS -- were released by EMI, while subsequent titles, beginning with BARNEY'S RUN, JUMP, SKIP & SING, were distributed by Lyrick themselves. To this day, the first three albums (as well as BARNEY'S GREATEST HITS, a compilation of material from those early releases) continue to be controlled by a different party, and to my knowledge, those are the only ones that have been removed from streaming platforms. Probably a licensing issue.

It's not all that strange if 9 Story would upload material from "Barney's World" and the episodes for "Barney and Friends" they supposedly have the rights to.

I've been wondering about this. It seems 9 Story will continue to be the official distributors of BARNEY & FRIENDS (they recently released Seasons 7-14 and a handful of home video specials on iTunes and Google for rental and purchase), but I'm pretty sure they have nothing to do with the new series. BARNEY'S WORLD is being produced by Nelvana.

I think one of the Mattel employees during early production of the reboot discovered what the initials BJ stand for, and I believe that is why he is going to be called Billy in "Barney’s World". I am not sure if Sheryl Leach gave him/her the info or if he/she just searched for it. I think the J in his name is going to be different because “Billy Joe" might confuse people with famed music artist “Billy Joel”.

The new render of Barney looks so much better honestly, but i hope Barney's World will be really good. If not, I'll stick to the Barney i grew up on back in 2006. Dean Wendt will always be my Barney & Bob West is my 2nd Barney.

For 7:56 : I saw you're recent video and I was at the meeting myself and I can confirm that Barney magical playground is a book because it popped up again when they started talking about books in general. For 1:30 : I also noticed that the 2d barney picture from last year kinda resembles the new model so maybe they had the tweak since june.

I have seen this in a community post by Tea Riffic Tributes, and I was in aw when I saw this, even that new image of Barney and I gotta say it's spectacular stupendous and Super Dee Duper! I wouldn't mind tasting the juice myself and getting the Barney's world plush and I'm curious to hear the album on what Barney's voice sounded like and the music. Things are starting to get pretty good. I know that some people don't like the Barney's world iteration of barney, but come on, you just had to give it a chance.

It would make sense to have something out in time for the first (batch of) episodes or Black Friday to engage the Barney community to promote the new show. We can wait till 2025 for juice and whatever else that licensing entails

In Robbie's portion, there was no mention of the Barney movie from Daniel Kaluuya. Just makes me wonder if they finally scrapped it. I was personally looking forward to it.

Like...a complete collection.... But thinking about the backyard gang episodes to be restored and remastered....but may be a bit offfensive. Wether it's GKIDS Kids (via Shout Kids) or Diskotek Media had attempt to release the complete collection remastered Sentai Kids......May be a failure

some parts of me knows i shouldn't but the inner kid in me is like "you know if they ever release a jumbo 24 inch one that talks you know you will be tempted to place it next to your old one as a sign of old and new getting together". haha i don't know why yesterday i finally decided to check how bad the battery compartment would be from corrosion on a barney doll i had for 20 years by now. To be honest i thought my grandma threw it away so that was a surprise to see him there. Something about hugging him after so many years made me cry a bit (did use a lint roller to clean him of dust - needs to do a surface clean later). haha the memories of getting him is still in my mind. family wasn't able to afford it, so every walmart trip, i would just walk with it and place it back with the others once shopping trip was over but one day mom said we could get it. While the corrosion wasn't bad, it still doesn't speak. so glad at least an ebay listing i can listen to two of the lines. i could buy a working used one but i can't do it to him. Nothing can replace the memories after all. kind of tempted to see if i can fix it but could be many other factors other then the springs having to be replaced and the likes. sorry tmi. i don't know why i even typed this on this video. sorry. i hate how everything feels sooo align with each other in so small of a span not only did bob west did a live stream (didn't get a print). the day after aka today. i feel like i felt sentimential since a few days later would be my birthday. guess i'm feeling the old age blues (28 is not old though).

Do they know who the voice is this year? Also what they should do is bring back the personalized talking Barney toy who can say your child’s name and have a date and time ETC. I’d buy it.

it's his bottom lip doesn't look as much like a flying frisbe shape his forehand interior has lost a few pounds the eyes are more widened more expressive with out to golden plexus and just one it represents classic barney more the red tongue gives it more life he used to look more dried out of color less vibrant more taller to better shadow over it's counter part to look like the original
