Great reaction! The film certainly has a lot of emotion, but is in my opinion a far weaker film in a far weaker trilogy. Also, no one dies in Lord of the Rings?! Boromir dies heroically and emotionally after his redemption, a similar redemption to Thorin. But Frodo dies at the end of the trilogy. Might not have seemed like it, but his end is far more tragic. Frodo chooses death, to move on from this world, as he simply cannot heal. The journey, the ordeal, the ring, was too much in the end, and he cannot go on living. And he is at peace with his decision. That is just heart breaking for us the audience, and for Sam.

The Hobbit films weren’t meant to be trilogy. For a small book, it was supposed to be one film, then it was two. Then the studios wanted a trilogy because it was financed by multiple studios, and they wanted adequate financial compensation and returns on their investments.

It is a very true statement if more people valued home over gold this world would be a merrier place.

The Hobbit may get some hate but I love this trilogy as much as the Lord of the Rings trilogy, as long as it's middle earth, then I'm all in for the journey.

Thranduil really showed a lot of emotion at the end of this movie. He is and always will be one of my favorite characters

I am impressed by Peter Jackson and his team that even in such chaos as the production of this trilogy, they created really cool films compared to others in this genre.
