Hello there and welcome to another medically accurate video (finally!). My last one was ages ago and I felt it was time for another one ;)
In this video, I will be examining your face and neck. For that, I will inspect you as well as touch your face so you can look forward to lots of tingly personal attention.
All of the tests I'll be performing I have learned at my University (from real doctors 😉). However, please keep in mind that I'm still a student and there could be some mistakes.

What even is ASMR?
ASMR describes a feeling of pleasant goosebumps (this is also called tingles). You may it know from when someone scratched your scalp or your back. ASMR videos trigger this feeling using various different sounds and visuals.
ASMR can help people fall asleep. It also calms anxiety and can be used for both relaxation and focusing on a task.

I don't know if it's because of ASMR purposes, but this is how a medical appointment should be! Explaining everything before doing it, asking for permission, and then explaining why you did it❤❤❤❤❤ so relaxing and well executed

of course explanations during a real exam would be a little less detailed but I absolutely agree! I hate it when doctors don't explain what they're doing to the patient... most of the time, just a simple "I'm doing x because of y" is all that's needed :)

Yes! I'm sure it gets tiresome to repeat all the time, but gosh it's nice when doctors/dentists/people mechanics explain as they go and ask permission/Apologize for discomfort caused (even when it's unavoidable).

I had a dentist who asked for permission to touch me. It got annoying really quickly. When I go to a medical professional, I expect them to do what is necessary, not to just stare at me from a distance. I think a patient with special needs due to trauma etc. is definitely entitled to a treatment with explicit consent, but they can obviously speak up about their needs.

I think the issue with that may be that it can impact the validity of the test if they tell you, for example posture, you may subconsciously fix your posture because you’re aware of it, which makes their observation less accurate

Imagine how long you’d be in the waiting room as a walk in. It’d be nice if you weren’t feeling unwell but if I was feeling sick I’d want to go in and out asap to get medicine or whatnot and get rest. It would also be good if doctors got paid like your mechanic per say it would be a win win for everyone. 😅

I used to love “medical exam” asmr videos, but working as a nurse kind of ruined them for me. I find myself mentally correcting silly things the ASMRtists say or do rather than actually just enjoying the ASMR. Thanks to you, I can finally enjoy my favorite genre of asmr again!! I loved your cranial nerve exam video and this one is also fantastic. The disclaimers at the beginning, your demeanor, the soft spoken rambling that’s engaging but still easy to zone out to, the glove movements. So good!

I'm a cosmetology student and I had to stop watching scalp check based videos because either the partings in the hair were horrible or the scalp checks weren't at all accurate to what actually goes on prior to a service lol

The breath check is spot on, and I've never heard it mentioned in ASMR before! I happen to have Type 1 Diabetes, and when my blood sugar is high for a long time, my husband says me breath smells like propane. 😬👀😅 Incredible work overall, well done!
