The game is supposed to be centered on the theme of self-destruction. Ellie’s covered her bite, the thing that gave the Fireflies hope, with a moth. Moths kill themselves by flying straight into fire, chasing the heat of the flames. Ellie’s set on destruction. I think the question of the game is whose destruction it really is.

Me too, I really understand what she's saying....... There's nothing worse than coming from a home filled with tension and feeling lonely and filled with fear, it eats away at your soul and the older you get the bigger the fear grows and there is no way to make it go away. I can't believe that this is a New Order cover from the eighties. I love both versions, but Ellies version just really cuts into my heart and although I love it, boy does it bring back painful memories. Sorry for venting!

@@christiankyleacbang9439 I think everyone should play this game, it gets a lot of hate but if you open your mind and see the story for what it is- a fictional story- then you should enjoy it. I had a blast in my play through and I immediately played it again to do the New Game+ and get the platinum. Just keep in mind that the way you want the story to go may be different from the actual outcome and you should have fun. Good luck, and may your survival be long!

But yes I definitely think The Last Of us part II is better than death stranding, I never played that yet though so my opinion is probably biased. The last of us is generally a pretty simple story there's not any weird alien babies so it's a lot easier to digest. If you haven't played it yet I'd still say go for it. :)

I feel like... “the morning sun” means Joel. Joel was giving her back the childhood she never had. He was her father figure and her guide. She was angry with him because she cared. She never thought she would lose the sun. She wanted to watch him die of old age, she didn’t want to watch him destroy himself because he got to soft and comfortable. She blames herself for that. That if she didn’t come along he wouldn’t have gotten soft or if she didn’t mess around with Dina in the Weed emporium she could have saved him. There’s so much to interpret in these lyrics.

Sometimes there are too many dark things..like rolling waves higher and higher. When it calms this is when you come out of the dark. My child was murdered at 14 yrs. I was in a tsunami for years. When i hear a song like this yes i feel sad but relaxed. I am happy you work in the light. I am almost there.

Man, I love this song. Especially the lyric "The childhood I lost replaced by fear". Man, Ellie had to grow up in a apocalypse-changed-world. Just like Clementine in TWD, another series I love. Clem is very similar to Ellie in some ways. I love the edits of this song to the last of us scenes, but I would really like a clementine edit of this song too, that would be dope.

@Juan Zuniga If it's not a masterpiece, it's mighty close amigo. Don't confuse the story of the game with the game in all it's aspects. What about the aesthetics, the mechanics, the 3D animation, the acting, the soundtrack, the game physics, the sound design, etc? There aren't many games that have achieved this level of detail, TLOU 2 really deservers the praise it's getting; not sure about the hate it's getting tho, it usually comes from ignorance. People are too quick to judge before taking into account the work behind the scenes

I first hated the 2nd game.. But after a while i realized that it wants to tell you something worth knowing.. Seeking revenge has no point... In the end you have to let go.. Its not worth fighting anymore... or else you become the monster you swore to not become.. Yeah i know its not right what abby did.. But at the ending it shows you the player that... it already happend even if you kill that person... there is no coming back... Thats why ellie let abby go.. Abby and the kid have the same relationship as joel and ellie... trying to survive... step into abby's life as she sees her dad dead on the ground... how would you feel?.. the same as abby... Dont look at who died but look and listen closely at what its trying to say.. just like the old songs I love tlou... such an beautiful game ngl

Do not follow the negatives comments... play and take your conclusion, this game change de way i see everything, It brokes your emotional, make u feel depressing and flying in the same time, play with attention and try to understand every both sides, The Last of us 2 is a Masterpiece, i never feel like that since red dead redemption 2.

The lyrics of the second verse describe how people are feeling towards the game. "Now that we've grown up together, they're afraid of what they see". But that's yeah price that we all pay. i feel so extraordinary could be a reference to Ellie’s special immunity to the virus, a sudden sense of Liberty sounds like Ellie and Dina’s relationship and nobody really had a thing to say so in a way it’s a sort of freedom, “my morning sun is the drug that brings me near to the childhood i lost” was a subtle reference to Joel and Ellie in part 1 where Joel takes Ellie to the museum and celebrates her birthday which was close to anyone’s childhood, “ i use to think the day would never come, that my life would depend on the morning sun” here Joel is the Morning sun and Ellie’s referring to Joel’s death and that she depends her life on Joel, this is the interpretation I’m getting into
