Love this scene! Love this soundtrack! Love this movie!!! 😍 Artistic perfection! One of my most favorite films ever - watched it dozens of times but every time I find something new and odd to fathom 🤩

This scene reminds me of the one in The Royal Tenenbaums where Gwyneth Paltrow is getting off the bus... which I'm just realizing also features a song by a member of the Velvet Underground

When a woman looks like that at you; once you pick up the wreckage, and should you survive, it's always worth it.

Patricia archette seduced me in this film and in true romance. Only other time I thought I was in love with an actress from a film was in great expectations. But yeah ,i started changing the oil in my own car because of this film.

My theory is that Bill Pullman's character goes mad and kills his wife. When he is locked up, he escapes into a delusion, dream or fantasy or whatever where he is someone else in a different life. He is younger and more virile. That's why he has such a strong aversion to jazz because it pulls him back to the reality he is trying to escape.

There's no such thing as "fully". Maybe just in the SILENCIO... ; )

According to Vladimir Safatle, a brazilian filosopher, the key point might be the phrase "You'll never have me".
