Lou Reed: Guitar, Vocals
with The Tots:
Bass -- Bobby Resigno
Drums -- Scottie Clark
Lead and Slide Guitar -- Eddie Reynolds
Lead and Rhythm Guitar - Vinny LaPorta
This album which may well be Lou Reed's best live Solo album (thanks a lot to a fabolous bad named The Tots) was recorded on 26th December 1972 and transmitted in a "Saturday Night In Concert" Radio Broadcast in January 1972, which was then re-broadcast in the mid 1980s. It showcases titles from his time with Velvet Underground as well as his later solo hits, but above all, it presents tracks from his most successful album Transformer which was produced by David Bowie and arranged by his epic guitarist Mick Ronson. The Tots at the time were at the top of their form with brilliant ensemble guitar playing and Lou Reed himself receives a rapturous reception from his home town audience.

Was just thinking how mellow and peaceful it was while hearing it for the first time. Enjoyed the little guitar embellishments and the way the guitarist ran with the sax ending part. Would that be my Detroit homie, Dick Wagner?

"Hey honey I am a rock and roll man." The most New Yorker personality has a worldwide acclaimed name. Nobody dizzy to spell in a loud voice LOU REED. And the future feels like the past I could never reach. That is OK at all if all i have to do is go ahead. Long live Rock`n`roll. The legend died but his legacy will keep going forever.

Candy came from along the islands, in the backroom she was everybody's darling, but she never once lost her head even when she was giving head, she said hey babe take a walk on the wild side. And the colored girls go do do do do do do do doo. Little joe never once gave it away, everybody had to pay and pay a hustle here and a hustle there, New York City is the place where they say hey babe take a walk on the wild side they said hey joe take a walk on the wild side. Sugar plum fairy came and hit the streets, looking for soul food and a place to eat, went to the Apollo, you should've seen him go go go she said hey babe take a walk on the wild side, hey babe take a walk on the wild side, hey sugar take a walk on the wild side.
