this is especially agregious IMO because most of the time these advent calendars are purchased by people who cannot afford to indulge in the more "high end" brands they love after saving up on the side all year. If I were to save up for something like this and I received just a bunch of samples id be heartbroken.

This gives major “let’s take advantage of customers who can’t afford a pair of shoes” vibes. Like I appreciate a ritual/self care moment but I can’t imagine 9 out of 10 cosmetics customers want to carry around an oversized lipstick charm bracelet around on a chain lol. It just seems like such a waste. I feel the same way about the Valentino powder purse thing they put out. So dumb

I think the high end designers decided to have a, who can make the CRAPPIEST advent calendar and get people to pay for it, contest because between the Chanel advent calendar from last year and this one they clearly are scrapping the bottom of the barrel to find things to put in these and do not want to invest any money in them yet are turning right around and selling them for ridiculous prices.

I got this one only because I really wanted to smell the different scents because I want to buy A full size one and this can help me pick. Quite expensive but, I personally loved it. I love that I got a little bit of everything and the packaging was really cute. I don’t regret buying it. It was a lot nicer than a lot of other advent calendars I got this year. Sidenote, when they gave you the lipsticks they were three different shades and a brush. Not just one. Still thought it was lame but it was a little bit more than you’re showing. They should have definitely given another lipstick case! Louboutin heel charm was actually bigger and it was on a circular coin. Can’t wait to see your thoughts on it.

I returned it with a note of that same price breakdown and that I didn’t see the value of you it if you are already a collector of the brand at all…even if you don’t have any of the brand it was bad. The lip stick samples is what really set me off for sure.

True Idyl Jewelry sounds great❣ The Loubi World Perfume collection is a total ove affair❣I totally agree about the multiple keychains & charms; 4ml vs 9ml perfume minis; & a dot of lipstick is too scanty for this Advent Calendar (AC). I laughed out loud at that keyring... I make purse charms, and you can purchase a pack of three of those same keyrings from Hobby Lobby for $3-$6 depending on if they have the gold link on one side. I think advent calendars are a cash grab putting mini and deluxe samples in a box and say "has a retail value of" and just make up a number to make it seem like you are getting a deal. I think it's a lot of retail employees not giving out the samples be it mini or deluxe even with purchase. Over the years going to Macy's for perfume I would ask if they had free samples and they would flat out say no. Now, I have been signed up for a couple years to get free perfume samples 4-5 samples at a time through mail and free shipping. Funny enough they come from Macy's but through a third party. That sneaker charm looks like a Michael Jordan "bread" Jordan shoe 😆.

The fact that they have an entire range of beauty products and could have included deluxe minis of eyeshadow, blush, highlighter, eyeliner, lip liner, mascara, nail polish etc yet chose to include a sample blister card on three separate days is so insulting 🥹

Cindy you are full of it. Why would this brand create this advent calendar. We are still in November and she never post the website link from the brand to purchase. Advent calendars for all brands go on sale after Thanksgiving!.....thanks LVMH management!
