I got the Shure SM57 which is what Louis highly recommended to me when I asked him. I also play on the GR Louis Dowdeswell T1.0

How does he hit those high notes!

I'm a trumpet player currently in middle school, the highest note I can comfortably hit on a normal day is a high D (2 ledger lines). Do you have any tips for how to improve my range and have such a clean and open sound on high notes?

Hello! So it is hard to tell someone what to do because there is not 1 way that works for everyone. 95% of it is playing and practicing a ton to figure out what you have to do. Figuring out stuff like how much upper lip and lower lip are in the mouth piece, how much pressure to use (probably not that much) looking into the whole Reinhardt pivot system and figuring out what to do with that, what mouthpiece to use, etc... So I cannot tell you exactly what to do but some general things that you should be trying is most likely using less pressure up high, if you are using a lead mouthpiece, keeping the lips in the mouth piece as loose as possible without compromising your embouchure, using fast air without pushing too much (this is confusing but I am making a video on it soon to better explain it)
