Rees Zammit is a professional athlete. He is fast. He is tough. Has great hands. He knows how to catch and how to lateral. Teach him the plays and the sky is the limit.

I grew up in KC & been a Chiefs fan for 60+ years; use to attend games at their old Municipal Stadium downtown. I wish him only the best & really want him to do well. Good luck Bro!

Rees-Zammit departed rugby with a tremendous reputation and strike rate, scoring 38 tries in 69 appearances for Gloucester, and 14 tries in 31 Test caps for Wales, touring with the British and Irish Lions in 2021....a TRY is a TD...so 1 every other game as a pro!!!!

Matey LRZ got selected for the Lions. This is a legendary touring team that once every four years goes on your to SA, NZ or Australia. That means he was regarded as one of the best 30 or so rugby players from four different countries. And did that aged 20.

Good to hear support for the young man. A lot setting expectations way too high, he’s a project that if he catches fire he’ll definitely be in the mould of a CMc

I have high hopes for him. I think he'll have a small role if he makes the main team (returns maybe). But Chiefs seem interested in him. I think they'll keep him even if it means practice squad and developing him.

we have enough now. the new additions will help the underwhelming wr's be better than last year. KC just figures it out with what they have. what we need is a rb that can get us one or two yards on the ground when we need it. Zammit?

@@TheAnonymousMango they have better people on the practice squad than are available now. watch and see. they either waste 1.5 mill on Hardman or play the hand we have. they don't like wasting, money. Rice will be back, eventually. They are fine. Figure out how to use two tight ends, you don't think they can do that. they have greater needs, and they will get everything they need from what they are looking at now. you look at too many reports, I think. but have fun.

Fantastic athlete even by nfl standards but he lacks the years n years of gametime everyone else in the league has had at progressively higher levels from pee wee through high school then college. But sometimes that can open up new possibilities - want someone to throw a lateral or play off the cuff when a move breaks down? That's what rugby is - 1 set piece then everything after that is open. So who knows. It will be interesting. For sure.

Not bc NFL is a bigger or better game, it's not, by any stretch of the imagination, rugby is global, NFL is limited to the US. It's all about the commercial opportunity and the opportunity to make more money for him. NFL players attempting to play rugby would struggle much more than the reverse. Scrums, line outs, no pads, tackle techniques, continuity of open play. It's a new experience for Rees, but it's definitely not a step up in skill & ability, just money. NFL is not more desciplined and structured, just more stop & start. All rugby's moves are structured & require 100% discipline in execution, even in open or so called unstructured play😊

...NFL is a much faster skill st overall...that makes a big difference and fast twitch muscle makes a difference...that being said...Rugby players are awesome and i wish him luck! PS..my son play Rugby and Football in USA in High School and Rugby players ...whew...so many more hits and the conditioning is insane!!!
@mitakon21
@mitakon21 8 күн бұрын
@@gnd111it's position specific in rugby, the outside backs a & wings in Rugby are selected based on their speed, explosive power, agility, skill, and fast twitch genes, together with their ball skills & ability to play rugby. You can be the fastest, strongest, most agile athlete on the planet and still not be a great rugby player. Many fast athletes don't cut it at rugby. You cannot compare US rugby with the best in the world, with the likes of South Africa, New Zealand, France, Ireland, Australia, and England etc. Fiji has some of the fastest, strongest athletes in the world but they don't beat the best in the world, ultimately. Albeit they are much more competitive and excellent in the 7's version of the game. Very few NFL players could make it in rugby without lots or preparation, training, and conditioning. Much more versatile, no pads, no helmets, various tackle techniques, the continuity of the game, and defensive & attacking demands of both forwards and backs😊
