Louis is definitely going to absolutely take over the music industry, which is why I think Simon was scared of him, even in the early One Direction days. He saw that Louis has not only the smarts to take him down, but that he also is just a good person who is going to treat the artists under him with respect so they don’t have to go through what he went through. His first year as a judge on the X Factor, Louis came in and won. I could not be more proud to support him. I can’t WAIT to see what he does cause he’s going to change the music industry forever.

One Direction management was totally abusive, they mistreated the boys causing a bunch of psychologic problems. Zayn had eating disorder caused by his anxiety. Liam stater to have problems with alcohol because he felt he couldn't take any of that anymore with being drunk. Niall had several knee's surgery and always performed when he should be laying down recovering, the boys cared him in and out the stages because of it. Harry was always in vocal rest because he was always using his voice to much, his womanizer status was one of the worst things for him to handle, he even cried after an interview because of that, he was always respectful towards women, he always described the "girl" of his dreams using gender neutral pronouns and once or twice he said "him" instead of "she" but he was kept in the womanizer position even hating it. Louis was even worse, he had to change completely after a show in a gay club where he were way to "flamboyant" and free, he started to move he started to move less around the stage, his confidence dropped and he said that the most difficulty thing on his solo career is to feel free to move around without worrying about his gestures, that's abusive and disgusting. They were asked once what they would want if they could have anything in the world, and Harry answered freedom. They were only kids and the way they were treated was just cruel. This video is just so clear, the story it shows us, it's heartbreaking. Louis really was the one behind one direction, in a sense that he was probably the one looking at all the contracts and stuff, he probably took some weights on in order to let the others be more free if that makes sense. The music industry has treated them like shit and with this video it really shows, it's scary how far people can go for money. "Hurt him" - Rebecca Ferguson, who was also signed under Syco has recently spoken out about a boybander who admitted that he has been physically thrown into a wall by his team. Coincidence? So glad you did this reaction. Not just because I love Louis content, but there needs to be more awareness on what actually goes on in the music industry behind the scenes. Overworking, forcing artists to do certain things, the control they have on an artists' public image, the control they have on artists music, closeting, physical and mental abuse. The list goes on and it has been exposed time and time again by artists such as Michael Jackson, Prince, George Michael, and now Little Mix, One Direction and Rebecca Ferguson. i recently got out by Rebecca ferugaspn (she knows the boys bc they were all at x factor together and she was signed to syco as well) that they mistreated her and disregarded her mental health. she even said that a boybander (she didn’t say names) told her that he was thrown against the wall when he went into the meeting for a label because he did something they didn’t like. the biggest boyband and one of the only boybands signed to syco at that time were one direction. so if it wasn’t one of the one direction boys, imagine what the label did to the boys if they just did that to an ordinary boybander. it’s fucking disgusting

Great reaction! Louis’ mind amazes me, I love how he managed to tell his story without actually telling it but somehow it was so clear and obvious that all of us just KNEW right away. Louis actually said he wants to start a management company, not a record label! He wants to be involved with the artists and the music they make first hand, and to be able to find new talent and guide them. Record labels are just involved in money, advertising and marketing, studio time, giving the ok when everything is done and ready. That’s why Louis stressed in one of his tweets about it being a management company, not a record label, in case anyone got confused. And honestly, Louis is the perfect person for a job like that. You know 5 seconds of summer? He’s actually the one who first tweeted about them and got them to open up for One Direction and then later on gain fame, and they’re honestly so amazing, Louis really has an eye and ear for TALENT. Besides, he’s been in the industry for over 10 years, he’s incredibly kind, caring and experienced. He was a judge on the xfactor, won the season, and all contestants were in love with him and his guidance. If I remember correctly, mentors only had to spend around 4 hours a day with the contestants, but he used to stay there all day and hang out with them even after they’re done rehearsing and preparing for the show. He had a great relationship with all of them and I think that’s really necessary between managers and the artists under their company. I really believe Louis would make a great change with this management company idea, I know it won’t happen for a couple of years (obviously these things take time) but once it’s all ready, everyone signing under it will be lucky as heck cause I know for a fact Louis won’t let these artists go through what he’s gone through.

also sorry for commenting so many times. i feel like at first louis looked up to simon but ig simon changed when the boys got signed to him. they all loved simon during the x factor days cuz they were grateful to him. after that we are louis rolling his eyes and looking uncomfortable around simon. and then simon and louis both have talked on this one time when simon flew louis out to see him ALONE and talked to him and told him to stop acting the way he was acting, which is fucked up cuz louis was still a kid at the time and he literally had fun one night cuz they were busy all the time. ever since louis was 18 simons had a hold on him and a werid as obsession with trying to keep louis around him. he told him to join him for one of his “got talent” shows for a little bit, but then after that the band ended, but louis was still signed to simon while all the other boys left syco. he even had to leak parts of always you bc his label wouldn’t let him let him release it and he had to beg them to released just like you. soon after in 2017 louis became a judge on the x factor for a whole season and you could see louis just being sarcastic as hell towards simon and he really was having fun being able to tell simon off because they were on live tv and simon couldn’t do shit.

Syco (simons label) shut down exactly a month after Louis left. And then there were papers leaked of a record label that was created back in the day by Simon, and Louis was like a co something there, but they fired Simon, and now it’s louis’ label.

Louis is such a GENIUS! If you pay more attention to the story line there's more to the story and how depth it goes and how contolling the management was, you can also see a relationship in between which also shows how things were very difficult for them but amongst all of this they made it!

Great reaction! It is heartbreaking to learn about how horrible the music industry is. Labels will even shelve artists or sabotage their own artists if they feel like they are stepping out of line, and are not easily controllable. An inside source from Sony has said that Louis was the one who stood up for the band behind the scenes and argued for them to get breaks (since they were overworked) and more creative freedom to write their own songs, and this pissed off the label execs and higher-ups like Simon (owns Syco) and Rob Stringer (CEO of Sony) who are represented in this video by the Boss character. Since Louis was the oldest and cared about them, he took on this responsibility and threw himself under the bus for the rest of them. This is why it is largely agreed upon that Sony had a vendetta against Louis, and forcefully extended his contract with them, even though they hate him, so that they could keep him under their control and sabotage his career (his album release was supposed to come out in 2017/2018, but Sony delayed it's release to 2020 (and gave it almost zero promo and zero spotify playlisting), and forced him to be an x-factor judge for one season, in exchange for being able to release music at all in the future. Why would a label not want to gain money off some of their artists? There are actually a lot of sources in the industry that talk about how labels care more about their egos and power, than they care about making money off an artist who they have a problem with, because they already make a lot of money anyways from other artists. He was contractually stuck with Syco/Sony for 5 years after 1d ended, but now, hopefully he is free (we don't know for sure yet, all we know is that he is free from Syco, but he may still be tied to Sony). I'm praying a non-Sony label will be announced soon and he might finally get the fair treatment and support he deserves to actually reach his full potential as an artist!

The director's cut was so clear the first watch. It was so obvious that the man was suppose to be simon. Louis was smart with this video and the wording in it as well. Years ago before I got into 1D I used to watch Xfactor and American Idol and I never thought/saw Simon as such a bad guy or whatever you would call it but I guess he just puts on a good act for people. After becoming a fan of 1D I started noticing how louis looked uncomfortable around him and would sass him and so I just connected the dots. Great reaction :)

The video is definitely an allegory for what Louis had to go through being in 1Direction and signed to Simon Cowell's management company. He was forced to wear a mask, he was not free to make his own choices, "I decided what you do and when you do it," and was likely threatened when he wanted to leave the band or break his contract with the management company. If you match the lyrics of the songs to the themes of the video you might also consider the possibility that its about Larry as well and their alleged relationship going through a lot of trials because of control of their management company.

Yes, they were all 5 AT the table. Louis, we never knew what he had to go through and how strong he had to be! Then he was only 23 years old. I heard Louis say on one interview " what he had been through had made him stronger". However, finally he had to sign another contract with Simon, as a judge, on the X Factor. Afterwards "aledgedly" said something to the effect...that those 5 years had been worthwile...So, finally, one can only assume it is what he had to do to set Harry free. So for Harry to continue to be free, Louis had to give up his freedom, and "aledgedly" pretend he was heterosexual, so they would leave Harry alone. Yes Simon signed the boys..had control. What band does 5 albums in 5 years all the while being on tour? They were worked to the bone. They all had a great work ethic and being in this situation taught them so much. That's why they are all successful. That doesn't happen either when a band breaks up or takes a 'hiatus'. There might be one person out of the group that makes it big. But all of them are successful. And mark my words, they will get back together one day and take over the world again. Probably just the 4 though, I don't think Zayn will ever be a part of it.

This story is a huge metaphor ! Many things have already been dicovered by the fans. But I have to add this : when the guy (Louis) jumped off the cliff, alone, into the sea (Music industry), they thought that he won't survive ...but he really DID. And when he emerges from the sea (LT-1 Walls) he wears neither mask nor clothes (the TRUE Louis, so honest, nothing to hide) and he join and kiss the one he loves the most : his MUSE ( the music) who inspires him all the fabulous lyrics and melodies he produces.

Yes, Louis took care of his bestie from evil Simon. If you watch old videos of 1d you will see a specific "friendship" from the very beginning and how management tried to change/hide it. A copy of a copy of a copy is about the history of people in the music industry who have hid their sexuality because of profits. It is a mess. He is out from under management now. I read somewhere the girl might represent Rebecca Ferguson. Also, Fine Line, if you watch the entire album and Walls they mirror each other. I am just saying...........

I wonder what your take on this would have been had you not already gotten the fan view of it. It is interesting for sure and as a fan your mind goes there. I’m not 100% convinced it’s about Simon per se but rather the music industry as a whole. The whole industry is corrupt but it’s never as easy to say it’s black or white either. For sure their management treated a lot of their artists badly but that doesn’t mean all artists were. I maintain 1D had it better than a lot of others because they were their money cow at the time and they knew it so they actually had SOME room to bargain. I was 12 when I was a massive fan of 1D oc I never saw the signs but now that I rejoined and have seen older videos + it being 2021 and more open minded. Eating Disorder, overworking with no vacation or seeing family, Liam and his mental health decline, fake relationship stunts on the buys, labeling Harry as the womanizer, closeting Harry and Louis for being part of the lgbtq+ community, controlling their style, not letting zayn put songs on the album. Yeah we missed it because we at so young but I’m hopefull now they can start telling their truth and we are here to listen. I lost respect for Sony and Simon a while ago when other of his employees like Rebecca F. also called him out but this was just another huge no for me.

Compare the directors cut and Walls video with Harry Styles’ Lights Uo video. Notice the people surrounding Harry are both men and women but in Louis’ video all the people around him are wearing masks. Harry is free but Louis still isn’t. There are so many clips that are similar in their videos . Also look at the song Harry wrote for “Love Simon “ ( a gay love story) . The song is called “Alfies Song” . There is no mention of an Alfie in the song. The title seems so random. Why? Well, if you go to a music video by ALFIE Arcuri called “If they only knew”, you’ll see why. It’s a video about two male friends falling for each other. In the video is a carnival rainbow money wheel exactly the same as in Louis’ video for “We Made It.” There are too many coincidences for it to just be a coincidence. They are trying to tell us something. What are the chances of a carnival wheel showing up in both Louis’ video and another one made about two best friends falling for each other where one is uncomfortable of being found out. Then you have “Simon” closeting the boys, making them wear masks. It’s so blatantly obvious when you consider the industry they are in.
