Great video!!! I used to use my organizer in my speedy 30 but noticed it was too little room with it in! I bought the recommended size for it but it literally made the inside of my speedy so tiny! I could barely fit everything. And then if I took one thing out, everything else fell over and took its spot so I'd have to re-arrange just to get that one thing back in. I love my speedy so much more without the organizer! Xoxo

You make such good points. I've had my bag for a year and I did purchase a base shaper because of so many videos on KZfaq talking about how it needs it. But, after watching this video I just removed it. And I do use pouches to organize my stuff so it doesn't slouch as much and it actually kind of feels lighter than before even though the base shaper is not heavy.

Very informative. Just bought a speedy 30 and was considering a base shaper as I used it on my GM. I did notice a bit if tearing on the GM but didn't attribute it to the base shaper. Thank you for this insight 🙏 I now just throw in a notebook first to make the base flat and load everything after. Works well for me.

Totally agree! I used to use a base shaper and then a different organizer with a base, but felt like it took up so much room inside and all the pocket walls were in the way. At that time I loved the look of a structured speedy! However I just came back from a trip to Paris and London and noticed a lot of women using speedys there without base shapers and their bags had a good amount of sag/folds. It still looked chic and had a casual vibe to it! So I'm liking the look more and more :D Still loving all your videos!!

So glad I found this video. Long time subbie but just searched purse organizers. I have had my Speedy 30 in DE for months. Considering a organizer but not anymore! You made valid points & I love the slouch! lol

I have a Samorga organizer which is made with felt material for my Speedy B30 and so far, it seems to work really well without causing more wear on the corners. However, I haven't used it for more than a few months. I've done a reveal video on my KZfaq channel. I found that I wasn't using my Speedy B30 as much when I didn't have the organizer my things were shifting around inside the bag. By the way, love your reviews and collection!

I have that same organizer. It's from the Etsy shop called DivideAndConquer. FYI (you may already know this) but it also fits in the neverfull mm perfectly. Anywho, I'm binge watching your videos and learning so much...thank you!!!!☺️👜💁🏻

I found this video very useful and I'll like to thank you for it! I have an original club organizer to my NF and I'm starting to realize the same. it will create more possibilities for the bag to get damaged on the corners.

Great review. I have the Samorga organizer which is soft enough to allow some sag, but still a bit more structured and helps keep things organized. I think the base shapers look too hard and severe and I prefer a little slouch. :)

I personally love to shape my speedy's and I also use the organizer for obvious reasons. So funny when other women see my speedy's shaped they will ask how do I get mines shaped like that and not saggy. But to each his own in this case her own..Lol..👍

I use the Samorga and the bottom is not hard it is all felt. I need it to protect the interior. You do make some great points regarding not using one though.

I have shared this vid soooo many times! There are so many people that keep talking about getting base shapers or organizers to “keep the structure of the bag” not even realizing that they’re causing harm to the bag.

When I get mine, I won't use a base shaper but a soft bodied organizer will be a must. It's that rigid base shape that's your problem.

I see your point regarding the base shaper and I will never use one for the reasons you stated. But the bag organizer won’t do that unless you use a harder one that’s a perfect fit. Or s very hard and rigid.

I love base shapers and organizers, but I NEVER use a stiff plastic/acrylic one. It will cause a hole so fast😮😮😮

It's true what you say about the organizers and base shapers... if you include such a hard material into a fine soft-canvas bag, over time the edges will be damaged, they can get to peel. I use an organizer, but is from Samorga and is made of soft felt, is not hard and not force the bag shape. It helps especially when I carry heavy things, maintains a balanced shape ... but I will be attentive to the edges 😉

I don't like that sag so I'd rather take my chances with a base shaper or bag organizer to keep it from sagging

The base shaper's that damage the Speedy model dont have enough radius (curve)on the four corners + they are too wide, this in turn can result in damage on the outside of the base due to regular contact with harder objects such as furniture, stairs, car door edges, corners etc.

You brought up some good points on using or not, a base shaper.

Great review! I just ordered the felt ones from Samorga yesterday but it's the double line ones. Has anyone had issues w those? I wanted more of a structure look so I decided to get double layered one. Hopefully It won't do too put too much wear in tear on my speedy.

I just bought a speedy 30 in DE, ive had the neverfull GM for nearly 10 years, the last 4 years I've used a organiser, a soft felt one, would never use a base board, I just watched a video with a hack regarding the corners, soft felt organiser and push the 4 corners in, takes the pressure off the corners

I think that’s why some videos recommend going smaller…..less structure but organized

I want to purchase a speedy azur, but I'm unsure which size. I have a speedy b ebene in a 30, and it fits all my things with no room to spare.

This is a fantastic video! I personally have mixed feelings about base shapers and organizers. I have a Samorga which helps to keep the bag clean and I can find my keys and phone quickly. On the other hand I love the slouchiness of a speedy. As far as the hard base shaper, I used it in my Neverfull for a very short time as I noticed the beginning stages of corner wear. That bag is definetly meant to be left alone lol! Lastly I feel the reason why Louis Vuitton has such fantastic SLG's is to eliminate the need of an organizer. I find that with the right combination of SLG's which I keep the same to switch bags quickly. Anyway I love, love love your collection and videos. In fact just got the same Retiro as u for XMas based on your fantastic review. Thank you for such detailed info! From Susan, New York!

Very good point. I so agree with you. Though , I never used a shaper to any of my speedys , I like them the way they are and that's exactly what the bag was made for. Thank you for sharing :)

the thickness of the canvas cloth is all the same, and it's become thinner with the advancing years. I save the thick cardboard boxes from counter appliances, etc and cut to fit to shape and have no issues. The problem with LV handbags since about 2012 is they cut corners and the products are no longer reliable. I'm getting a Speedy 40 from 02.2000 and can hardly wait. I have a Speedy 25 from 2009 and it takes a licking and keeps on ticking with my board :)

I.agree,I noticed base shapers are poking and putting pressure on the bags from the inside,I use organizers to keep the bags clean,but I have softish ones,that support very little but helps in the inside. great video take care MJ

I know this is an older video but I've been eyeing the Speedy 35. I currently have the Neverfull MM. Would you say the Speedy 30 is pretty much comparable to what you can fit into the Neverfull MM?

I agree, the base shaper is kryptonite to a speedy, it's attempted murder in most cases. I found a felt handbag organiser on eBay for £4.99 for my Mulberry last summer. Pretty much the same as a Samorga. It's slightly smaller than my Speedy 30 and nice and soft. I need the organisation for commuting around London. I don't even need a glasses case because it holds and protects them. It also fits my Noe GM, and my Alexander Wang Rocco's ( I have two Rocco's, for the UK rain).

I keep contemplating a speedy but I'm more of a shoulder bag gal. Glad to know about the organizers though because I've been reading about them and considering for some of my totes. If you ever want to sell that new one, let me know. :)

Personally speaking I love the sagging of the speedy.

I think that in general the corners to all speedy's are susceptible to faster wear, compared to a hobo style or other styles. That's been a problem with speedy's for a long time, sadly.

Those bags are beautiful but I don’t like LV bended the bags and those line still showing long time later
