I’m from California and my CA said that this is to prevent counterfeiters and ALSO to prevent price gouging from Resellers.. so many resellers that are taking advantage with price gouging...

Amazing! I just bought a zippy wallet on May 7 in Texas and I dont even look for date codes. So I immediately checked after watching this and found that it doesnt have any. Thanks to your vlog, I downloaded the NFC Tool App, and used it. Voila! I got the information needed! Tag type, tech and serial number. Whew! Thank you Anna and Ms. P for sharing the information. I recently purchase lv pochette metis here in nz, directly from LV Store. and to my surprise no more date code. I was so scared- but upon my research this microchip appears. I tried it and it worked with NFC tool you have mentioned. Then that is the only time I felt comfortable and had peace of mind.

I recently bought a purse from LV, muntikan nako bumalik sa store to exchange then I called their customer service so ayun nga sabi wala na daw date code. Kaloka dapat sinasabi na ng CA yun sa customer para ma-inform na agad.

I bought a bag from LV South Coast Plaza in Orange County Ca last week, the SA was nice enough when I asked her to scan it and show me d info on the bag since there’s no date code. It’s always satisfying to buy from an actual boutique. I don’t worry about reselling my bags because I don’t buy things excessively. What’s surprising is that my LV neverfull that I bought last February 2020 already had the microchip plus still has the date code.

Recently purchased a bag from the store. It has a datecode and a chip (checked via nfc app). The bag is made this year. Also bought SLGs. No datecode already but there is a chip (checked via NFC app also).

Sa sobrang strict po ng LV ngayon from Limiting the Orders sa Buyers so that hindi po sya ma-resell (From what I heard sa former LV employee na nag reveal ng LV secrets through KZfaq) now they removed the datecode which will really affect Resellers but on the other hand It will affect Factories din na gumagawa ng counterfeits kasi for sure mahihirapan sila gumawa ng microchip for their fake bags😅

if LV has no serial code replacing it with the chips means to say its not a good investment anymore where in it prevents you to sell it again to other people after you used it for sometime. Its difficult to sell again.

@@vhino9731 That's the only reason that I can think of why they come up with this new system. Sad to say na maapektuhan ang resellers and/or owners na gustong ibenta yung mga bags nila pagnagsawa na sila or for emergency reason. There are always pros and cons. This only means na before buying an LV item from an LV store, a customer is buying it for the purpose of using the item not for selling it in the future.

I’m in favor of the new technology but hopefully an app that could authenticate LV bags would be made available to the buyers. Another way for us to have it authenticated at the store would be to have your item serviced at the store, like for cleaning service or repair.

I think chip that can be detect through nfc is not that costly to manufacture. Maybe in the future lv may release a consumer app or external app developers will try to imitate the app used by lv.

Miss anna dito sa france, limited lang pwede namin bilhin for a year twice lang kami pwedeng bumili kasi sabi nila para maiwasan ang pag re sell. Which my chinese na tourist naghahanap sila ng binabayaran nilang taga rito to purchase for them.kasi each person limit is 2 items lang po.

There are easy ways you can indirectly have your bag authenticated by LV store. One is to bring you merchandise or bag and tell your SA that you want to have it heatstamp with your initials. So, your SA will bring your bag inside to inspect if it is original. If it is original, they will tell you that you can proceed with your hotstamping. After knowing, you can simply make alibis that that you change your mind and no longer want to avail the service. Second is to bring the bag to the LV store and inquire on the serviced they can do to your bag. Say you want to reglaze the edging, buy a lost strap, etc.

This is authentication methods through blockchain technology.This will make it significantly harder to trade counterfeit product, as information stored on the blockchain is impossible to modify, only those with genuine goods can provide proof of authenticity to future buyers. This technology is great for buyers who can afford to buy brandnew, however this affects not just counterfeit and resellers but OnlIne shoppers as well. Some Resellers marks up their prices a bit too much. This was made to gain exclusivity again, if i am not mistaken chanel is about to launch same technology this year too. Can't wait!

NFC tags are cheap you can actually buy those on shopee in bulk, I won’t be surprised if counterfeiting companies would be able to release “no date code” fake LVs. They really went above and beyond in insuring LV bags won’t be counterfeited but people will definitely find a way to produce fake bags in no time. If my research serves me right, LV is also one of the first pioneer on an attempt to stop counterfeit products, that’s the main reason why their classic monogram canvas/logo is so popular. It was their first attempt in stopping the counterfeit market. In my opinion LV is just going back to their roots. “Exclusivity” it will definitely affect the reseller market no doubt since LV is such a popular brand. I foresee older LV bags with date codes to increase in prices as it’s now the only way for people to buy second hand without worrying if what their buying is fake or not. And that’s my opinion thank you. I love your vlogs Ms Anna and Sis P(wow naki sis p na din haha) and the Queens. I aspire to be like you po when I grow up. :)

Nakabili po rin ako ng clunny bb ko dito sa UK wala pa pong date code. Online ko po sa sya nabili sa LV uk website. Nag call po husband ko sa lv site uk tinangal na raw po nung January pa this year. Hi Ms. Anna. I was just at LV Store yesterday here in the middle east, it’s not true na pag meron microchip ang bag eh wala ng date code. I bought a pochette metis yesterday, meron po sya date code, then when i got home nag try po ako scan using the app na pinakita nyo, meron din pong lumabas na mga details, yun nga lang di same ng details sa mga SA sa store. Also , may pinakita din sila na Speedy 25 na may chip at na scan po nila at lumabas yung details, pero meron din pong date code. So possible po na may date code pa din at the same time meron po microchip.

If I were to buy my next LV bag from the store i think I will ask the SA to have it authenticated then take a photo of the authentication just so in the future if I want to sell that bag I will have a proof of authenticity nya. And then sa magiging buyer ko pede na ny iscan tru nfc tool ung microchip to verify.

Nagka microchip na at lahat d pako nagkakaLV hehe pero that’s great na nagkaroon ng improvement. Sana gawin ni LV ung mga luxury stores like you Ms. Anna, bentahan nila/or maki affiliate si LV PH sa inyo para mashare nila ung Authentication Scanner parang exclusive lang sa mga luxury stores like you. Parang ibebenta nila ung App sa inyo para exclusive lang na kayo may access (all luxury stores- legit)

I think for me ganda value luma lvs esp may date code kase mas madali iresell mas madali iauthenticate. I suggest that resellers need to educate themselves more for them not to be victims of replicas.

May mga times nga kahit authentic ung item...mali parin nakalagay sa physical date code eh ;) i experience that kaya binalik namin sa store. Super hirap na yan ma counterfeit coz grabe ang effort na ng mga fakers if magawa pa nila yan ;) Some people even think that ung microchip...na baka malaman ung location mo etc. Pero hindi naman daw. Resellers are affected on this coz how can u prove to ur buyer na authentic sya. Lv can do and can afford much better than this ;) As customers best may physical date code and microchip. Sure ko naman they can afford this.

Its great to eliminate counterfeiters.. maybe some resellers also that r hoarding there products and selling the products for extremely high in price..pushing consumers to buy directly from them..🤷🏻‍♀️

Dahil sa sobrang galing nung mga nagkacounterfeit, at minsan mas maganda pa yung ibang peke, marami tuloy ang tumatangkilik sa mga imitation. At ikinahina ito ng benta ng LV. Idagdag pa yung ibang reseler na sobrang taas kung magpatong ng presyo. Kaya ganyan siguro ang naisip ng pamunuan ng LV.

The problem is lv didn't make a statement about the purpose of transition. There is still a space for improvement kung how those new items na i-authenticate, well one of the purpose kasi ng tag is for us to know kung may worth(money) ba yung bag. If lv can't cope-up with that, it makes things worse because they destroy the idea of luxury brands and it shows like walang legitimate authenticator or walang form of authenticating ng bags nila and nawala din yung after-sale support. Therefore, the promotion of unsustainable fashion as a subsequent effect. Sa issue naman ng counterfeiting, legit apakagaling manggaya ng mga counterfeiters specifically chinese people and feel ko kaya din nila gayahin yung chip system but if si lv will invest dun sa security system(authenticating app) maeeliminate nya ang counterfeiting. Nageexperiment pa siguro si lv kaya walang details ang mga ganap hahaha😅

I think if you bag sa store then you have the record na your the original owner with the bag and they will help you if your bag is has been damage they will fix it as long as the its still own by the original owner . But if the owner sales it than kawawa siguro yong 2nd person who bought kasi pag gusto niya e fix ang bag the lv won't accept it ?
