It was her and her lower class accent, that was the best thing about this great series. Especially learning that the word "lolly" means money. Don't know why, but this is too cute and cracks me up. 😉

She's stunning

Wonderful show! Written by the woman behind Gentleman Jack, which has some of the best writing in all historical fiction. Nell was great, definitely not a damsel (that trope died years ago do we need to even mention it anymore?) nor is she an unstoppable unrelatable juggernaut like badly written heroes in other shows. She's eminently relatable, she's tough, witty, adventurous, and full of humanity- that's what I think audiences will really vibe with: she has a good heart, she has regrets, she has rage, tears, laughs, the whole spectrum. When you write a complete character viewers remember it. And hey her country British accent is PERFECT. This is a very talented actress who's been hiding in more obscure productions- hopefully this breaks her out.
