I’ve been waiting for this reaction more that any of the other channels solely because of Louise thirsting over Manny Jacinto. And how can you not? I mean I’m a straight guy and even I have to admit Qimir/The Stranger is the most seductive villain in all of Star Wars.

When you realise that the moment Osha puts on that helmet, its not just about finding the space to focus on the Force without outside influences, its also about her shutting out the world around her and disappearing into her own headspace.

Good thing Sol made the jump to light speed, otherwise jedi would have been in a massive wreck.

cortosis featured in the jedi outcast games as well if i remember correctly, cortosis weave plates. guess it's not cannon but has been around for a fair few years

I still believe in Sol! Well, mostly. But I know we've had lots of red flags. And one thing ... there's something about Sol's gauntlets that has always struck me as a bit ... I dunno ... Vader-like or something. But I 100% trust Bazil to do the right thing. I think Sol has forgotten about Bazil and he doesn't realize Bazil's on the ship. Maybe Bazil calls in the Jedi to the location of the final confrontation? Maybe Bazil tips the scales?

The light whip is cool. I read up on her. Seems that was a modification she made to her lightsaber but kept it hidden for a while. Even her hyperspace nausea is also from the books.

My bet is Vernestra is Quimir's Jedi master. The scars look like whip scars. Also, from Legends, the best way to beat a lightwhip is having a shoto (short lightsaber) and duel wielding. Strikes me as why Quimir would have his lightsaber that way.

I wonder if they will bust out a sith ghost or sith holocron of Darth Bane that instructs the stranger? That would be kind of cool. Also would there be something from this timeline that sets events in motion for Palpatine and Vader, Luke, etc. that someone would see in a force dream or premonition like the so called prophecy?

Cortosis was rare and was mined by Darth Tenebrus and Plagueis. The island that they mined it on is also where Plagueis killed Tenebrus. Qirim might be another apprentice of Tenebrus, Darth Venamis, who goes on to become the first Ren. I believe that's explained in the Plagueis novel.

As for where he gets the Cortosis from, I’m pretty sure there are Cortosis deposits on that island

The light whip was in Legends. Mainly the comics. There was a dark side user that had one, she eventually turned Jacen into Darth Cadus

I've seen other comments say cortosis is very brittle. That's prob why Jecki was able to break the helmet, and maybe why Qimir needs to stay close to a cortosis vein in order to have ready access to repair materials.

I was thinking that if this dark secret that Sol has been hiding is revealed to Osha, she may feel so betrayed by him (who was not only her master, but almost a father figure to her) that it pushes her to the Dark side. But Qimir not only is a jedi dissident but a sith dissident as well. He is a RENegade, so he might be known as Ren. So Qimir was created to be the missing link, the nexus between the prequels and the sequels, which might be precisely the point of the whole series. Come to the dark side Osha, we have mixed bathing, and soup... (Way to mishandle someone's... lightsaber) A fallen/dark Jedi who has Sith-curious tendencies is a fair play... perhaps he aspires to try for a Ro2 position and is building his personal bench of student options. Cortosis is more rare than Beskar, and has fewer reliable applications. The shape of the helmet is what is replicating the sensory deprivation helmets of the younglings at the temple or Luke in episode 4 or Sabine. The material has nothing to do with it. Qimir is baldfaced lying to Sol about the mask "blocking the force", since he wasn't wearing it in the Apothecary and could not be read. Cortosis does NOT block The Force. That is a Red Herring. Classic misdirect. The greater sins of this episode are the editor's fault with a complete disregard of time, Space, distance and travel. It would have been better for them to open with Sol and Mae, As we saw them entering their ship in the last episode... Instead we have Qmir Mystically teleporting across the Galaxy to an unknown world, Having carried Osha to his ship taking off undetected, jumped to hyperspace landed on the unknown planet transported her across the bay at low tide into the cave lair and treated Osha' wound, and Osha waking up at High tide... Before the other ship even takes off. Bad edit. To say nothing of the travel time from Coruscant to the outer rim for the Jedi CSI investigation team.... And, If there were still active umbramoths, Simply for the plot convenience of showing off the whip. Why were there still bodies left to investigate? Even If they are pure vegetarians that only attack because of the light, Other forest creatures should be hard at work rendering the corpses by now. I put more faith in Basil's ability to tell Sol about Mae's Infiltration than I do in his ability to clearly sense things in the Force... Although telling the mission commander first would have been a wiser tactical decision than trying to dry hump the leg of a known assassin... Tynnan logic be weird.
