D*** I miss you! My dang Paula Dean Pots n Pans got disposed of when my house flooded & I miss them as much as I miss you! Lol. On a better note, I always think of you during the holidays. This pie is a tradition in our house. And for grins & giggles gotta tell you this. An old boyfriend could laugh just like you. Never, ever, ever failed when he’d impersonate you it was a given we were going to roll with laughter. He was definitely good for a laugh but that’s about it. MERRY CHRISTMAS PAULA DEAN & FAMILY. I appreciate your channel, not just for recipes but for the casual way you tell us stories of your life and the things that make you happy. PAULA, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I ALREADY HAD THIS RECIPE. MY AUNT GAVE IT TO ME SEVERAL YEAR'S AGO. SHE HAD RECEIVED IT FROM A FRIEND AND THEN SHE PUT IT IN THEIR CHURCH RECIPE BOOLK. I'm making it now. This reminds me of my Granny's chocolate custard pie, except she used milk and buttermilk in her pie. No one in my family has her recipe, I've got really close to making hers but not exactly. Can't wait to try this one.

I'm a Sothern girl from North Carolina , @ down here , or up here , we call that a " Chocolate Chess Pie" . Its very FAMOUS HERE, it was in the NC STATE MAGAZINE, as one of the Best PIES OF THE SOUTH! I always make it at THANKSGIVING @ CHRISTMAS, but I never thought about Valentine's Day, until now ! Really like the measuring spoon/cup set and the knife board set on the counter. Went to the Paula Deen online store, and the measuring spoon/cup set is sold out, and the knife board set I cannot find at all. Can you or anyone on your team please advise?

The measuring cups and spoons come in different stands. They should be back in stock soon. You might try calling the Lady and Son’s store directly. The knife board is something we are working on. Not for sale yet.

yep story of my life sister!! just use sweetener instead and its a tad bit better xd!! and 1 and a half cups of sugar thats a ton id use maybe just shy of a cup of sugar if you wanted to use the real stuff... only thing id change besides sweetener it be grahm cracker crust instead of the original flaky stuff... think about it and just use light vanilla or vanilla frozen yogurt instead of the super rich ice cream... it would taste like smores :D

This recipe is not found via the link!😏 I heard her say though this is the following; 1 1/2 sticks butter 1 1/2 cups sugar 3 oz. Semisweet chocolate 3 eggs 1tsp. Vanilla 1 pie shell Heat your oven 350, 45 minutes bake. Melt the butter and chocolate together, add the sugar and eggs and use a mixer to combine ingredients, add the Vanilla. Prick your pie shell. Pour ingredients.

My daughter & I absolutely 💘 LOVE amaretto flavor for sweets. Paula, (Teresa 😉) will you will you please make a wonderful dessert, cake, cookies that really pushes that amaretto flavor through the roof!? 😁 My daughter will be 28 years old, first week of April. I’m a bit confused. Sometimes Paula is cooking in a Hugh beautiful kitchen, and other times she is in a small kitchen, no bigger than mine. Is she cooking from two different houses?

Poor Theresa...Though I'm sure she has good intentions, she's one of those people that's better to err on the side of being quiet...because she tends to talk too much, and it quickly becomes annoying. It's like what they used to say in the old days: "Children" should be seen and not heard lol. Would it be a no-no for Eddy to pan over to Michael? I know Eddy is a "perfessional" videographer lol.

I don't think she's annoying or too talkative at all. If anything, she is trying to let the viewers know ingredient measurements, etc. So, all in all, I think she is quite helpful and sometimes steers Paula in the right direction on recipe demo. I don't think she has any ill will in doing so on that front either.

boy you got no idea what cool things you learn and hear from older people... when my granny was around id love hearing stories of her childhood and things my mom did as a kid... some of the things they say are very wise and give good advice to you... not you but personally i loved hearing about Theresa's adventures it was really cool and fascinating!!
