Hello NAMIBIA!!! The fog clears and there is LAND, and Luderitz is our first Namibian stop :) After one of the easiest check-in's ever we explore this awesome little town. First order of business- Mr. Brady visits the biltong shop where he finds a secret love potion from China, which he promptly tests on the girl crew. We happen to arrive just before the 10 year anniversary of the Luderitz crayfish festival- the biggest party weekend of the year! We eat heaps of lobsters, dance our little hearts out and meet some incredible locals. Before setting sail north we explore one of the absolute highlights around this area, The Ghost Town! Previously an old German settlement for the diamond workers and their loved ones in the 20th century, it was abandoned and swallowed by the desert. It was a super eerie and incredibly beautiful spot with a crazy history! But where are all the diamonds? Hope you enjoy this amazing place as much as we did! Much Love from the whole crew! Thanks for letting me be part of the family , I also await with anticipation of the next part of the journey . Then a bit sad at the end of the episode , but alas, I start reading and enjoying the rest of the family's comments and usually find things missed, continue to be in awe of your skills conveying it to us. Oh what the new crews experience arriving at their first of many ports of call. The fog, being welcomed in with a brewski delivered even before you landed , wow, the people and the dunes. The saga continues

Loved it! Very comical and great chemistry between the crew. RTV Rocks! And Mr. Brady & the love drops... lmao! As always, you have my full attention, whether it be an informative, a scenic dive, or just an absolutely fun and goofy episode. But then they end and it makes one feel a bit sad, until the next episode. Thank you, Delos Crew, you always make my day better!

Diamonds are actually a lot more common than they are made out to be. There are actually vaults full of diamonds that are kept out of circulation in order to keep them much more rare and therefore expensive. The market is completely manipulated. For that reason I don't want a diamond ring when I get married. I want a beautiful colored stone. Love the new additions to the crew! Loads of fun and good energy!

When installing a new impeller, try lubricating it with a few drops of dishwashing detergent. That first startup on a dry pump can really shorten the life. Avoid petroleum products on the rubber.

Episodes are always great, and sometimes the comments, too. This time we've got lots on Brady's Love Potion Number Weinstein; on our girl crew; and on the Trautman sandwich, but we've also got everything there is to know about installing a new impeller: use a zip tie, let vanes lie trailing direction of travel, don't use petroleum products, do use dish soap (assuming it's not petroleum-based), and keep gasket material on hand. All that's both useful and funny to see popping up like this. Perhaps Capt. Bry should announce a list of his upcoming maintenance projects so all we armchair mechanics can contribute our collective wisdom in advance.

Those fog banks are a permanent fixture along the coast and actually help the local desert flora and fauna live in the Namibian Desert, providing water deep inland by droplets of heavy dew. The sea water is distilled by rising as fog and being deposited as sweet water on rocks or even the carapaces of the various insects or other animal fur/skin by the heavy moisture content in the fog. They just lap up the droplets! Ok, end of science lesson! LOL! Love the vlogs too!

Brilliant! Can't believe how lucky you were with the weather going up that coast. It's been a death trap for hundreds of vessels, and there's no escape if you made it ashore because the desert is impossible to walk out of. Sad side about the diamonds is that it led to the near wipe out of some of the most fascinating, gentle tribes of Africa, the San tribes and the Himba. The Himba look like they might survive, but there are pitifully few of the San left. Even today, all of the diamonds found on that coast are the legal property of one company, Anglo American, basically the Oppenheimers. Disgusting that a country gets nothing for it's resources. Loved Lisa "we're in a meeting", stuck between two hunky guys, makes a hand gesture internationally renowned amongst ladies everywhere to indicate how unimpressed she was with a particular part of the male anatomy! Almost dropped my tea I was laughing so much :-). Brady "I'm a changed man" creeps the crew out with the love drops then walks around a deserted ghost town wearing purple scarves. Wow! Kwolity with a capital K. St Helena's quaking in it's boots :-)
